Tac is what I run when I'm filling buckets of 77smks through the Dillon...
I prefer the 8208 as well when I can find it....bout to crack open another case of cci450s and it's giving me anxiety
rth1800 swears by it being the best mk262 clone powder

I pulled close to 4000 8208 77s in December....good times....

He's not lying if you feel the need for that kind of speed. I usually get the best groups I feel like around 24.1-24.3 gr in LC brass.

Keep an eye on the retailers. Powder Valley dropped 1lb’s sometime in the last two weeks. I bought 5lbs to try in place of my dwindling 8208 supply.
Probably hit some other retailers here soon.
Love me some Tac for my 223 loads. Bolt gun loads, never used it for anything lighter than a 69gr bullet. The 75gr eld for my 223 is an excellent shooting load in all Temps I've shot it in. Every now and again I'd feel my bolt get a little sticky when it was 100 degrees but no other signs even at that temp and I honestly don't really want to be out shooting when it's that hot because it's just miserable in 90% humidity.

Got a gallon of 223 brass trimmed/sized on the S1050.

Sorted around 1200 5.56 range pickups. Found 700-800 were all the same head stamp. WWC-11. "Score"!
Wet tumbled them and set out for drying.

Made a mess. Loading some blaster ammo in retired match brass, I guess that primer pocket was a little out of spec......

Yes, with the way out of spec pockets the primers fell out before the weight of the powder could push them out

Missed two powder availabilities today because of not sitting on the net all day I decided to work another batch of brass, and get some winter storm friendly food.
Just in case electric goes down in an ice storm (my gas oven wont work) and if gas goes out I can grill or smoke but wont matter since I will die in my frozen house probably working on more brass.

Seriously it would be usefull
So you have a batch of brass with worn out pockets you could reload the one last time. Save for armageddon / anyplace brass will be lost, etc.
I finished throwing almost 5.5 lbs of powder to assemble 170 rounds of 50 BMG goodness. That lot of powder is gone and now I need to run some test loads on the new lot.
It's not reloading, but it's what I worked on in the reloading room today.
Still have to dye it yet.
Pulled out the AMP and annealed a few hundred cases of 338-LM, 300-PRC, 300-WM, and 6.5-CM. Got caught up on my bins of brass that had been stalled since I deprimed and cleaned it. Took over the kitchen counter for this work, so not technically in the "Reloading Room" ... but I could see it from there. I do LOVE my AMP ... can't imagine life without it. Every time I use it, I feel sorry for my friends using propane torches and spreading temp-sensing "goop" on their cases.
BTW ... to my Amp-buddies ... do get and install the new firmware update. The new feature that "auto-starts" an anneal simply by dropping in the case (without pushing the "Start" button), is an awesome process improvement and shaves both time and effort.

Reorganized/cleaned the Dillon area. Added the Inline track with a die holder and primer tube rack.

I set up my Henderson trimmer for the first time and processed some 338 LM brass. It does a really nice job with the brass but I'm going to have to play around with the ergonomics to make the process smoother, I think I might have it mounted too high.

sadly i only looked upon 16 trays of ammo that just needs pressing to be ready to go . what a lazy so and so I am .
I would settle for one that was half as nice as that one. I really like the can brackets with the feed and discharge ramps, very nice!

I had a 308AR that has a tale of woe attached to it. Got it all worked out, learned a pile about reloading during the troubleshooting. Ended up selling it to a friend to finance the precision boomstick.
One of the issues was some bad once -fired brass. I sold all the good 308 brass but still have about 400-500rds loaded in this questionable brass that I've been shoving around.
Started the pull down process to recover projos (will make some blasting ammo for the M1, M1917, and M1903)
, primers (for range ammo),
and some of the powder (most was varget, will be saved. Rest is a mix of 2000mr, imr4895, and wc844). Brass will be crushed.
Some of that medium burn rate powder will be fertilizer... some will be....

Setting back some Lapua. 308 shoulders.
Around 350, about half done. Expand the necks and then trim. Trimming can usually be done within the first two Alien movies.

Thanks. Very simple, drilled a hole in the lid, slipped a washer over the drop tube, put it together. Much better than the factory.
Finally settled on a load for my .223 F/TR rifle. Loaded 50. Win brass (cause I can't afford LaPuua), cci 400, Hornady 75 ELD, 24.5 Varget.
Ranges can be gold mines. Here I am just finishing up some non-match rounds of 6.5CM. These cases are all range pick-ups (94 total). I strongly believe they are once fired. Tight primer pockets. And measuring the fire firmed cases indicate that they were not stout loads at all. They are various head-stamps…and only one is a small primer case.
