I have lots of docs, still don't know all their names, one thing they all have in common is they think they are smarter than I am.
I just tell them I used to work with particle swarm optimization and they get a strange look for a bit and then let the 'I'm so smart' shit go.

They seem to forget that they are just a person, and that I'm just a person.

Yeah, the first time my physician asks me either question (guns or wokeness) would be the last. I get one last med renewal from them and then they'd never see me again.

That said, within the next 1/2 year I will qualify for Medicare so I can choose my doctor a bit more easily. We'll see what happens. I actually belong to a site that offers 2A friendly doctors in my area. We'll see if I can get a good match.

I guess I'm blessed... One Dr is a skeet / trap shooter.... Vascular Doctor is ex-military, sniper, back packer / elk hunter. When I'm booked for a 30 minute visit we talk health for 5 minutes then he gets his phone and shows me weapons and trophy Elk.... I've lost track of some of my Doctor's and Nurse practitioner's because they refused the shot and moved on.... To the best of my knowledge, none have died over the past 2 years.

Also since I'n a Bigboi(TM) who wears a T-shirt and shorts, I often get mistaken for an idiot. Most of my doctors figure out real fast not to pull that shit when I start correcting their diagnosis and mistakes.

Edit: My sleep doc wants a negative test before I come into the office. I'm getting a new sleep doctor.

She has to follow their rules or else they will yank her license, she doesn't even google any information about all the other drugs used to fight covid so they can't connect the dots back to her. Since my Dr. and several of his nurses and PA over the years have seen my pistol a time or two, I don't think they would be asking me that one. My Dr. is definitely not woke. The entire practice is pretty normal and good folks who have called this vaccine exactly what it is from day one. Of course, I live in Shelby County AL. My former doctor was prettier. Only reason I switched to another doctor was because she didn't take insurance, cash only, and I had to have prostate surgery.

She gave me my first prostate exam. I started to offer to pay more if she didn't use the rubber glove.

My current doc is a man and woke as fuck. During the initial patient assessment his nurse asked me:
Do you smoke?
Do you drink and if so how much per week?
Do you own any guns?

I asked WTF did that have to do with my health? She, the nurse, said it had to do with having kids in the house (red flag). It's a bunch of bullshit because the guy is older and lives on a ranch in the Hill Country, you would think he had some honor and was conservative. He also said the jab didn't protect one from the Chinavirus but from it turning into a potentially fatal situation.

My PCM is a PA. She is super cool and doesn't ask me all the stupid questions. My old Doctor moved to a different town. So I decided to look for a PA in my area.

On my new patient visit she asked me the usual questions and the social one about do I feel safe....... I said no, not with Brandon and DHS profiling me. Her response was, I understand. We all are a little less safe now.

At 69 with previous colon issues, my primary concern in selecting a doc is the size of their hands! haha My doc of over 20 years is a very petite woman.

If you go to a new doc for a physical and he's telling you he played center for the Blue Devils....run, run very quickly! LOL

I go to my doc for medical care and we do not discuss politics nor does she introduce her views on subjects other than medical to our interactions. Love my doc.
