Clearly, mags I have work fine in the AXSA's I own with the suspect calibers that are different from 308 (6/6.5 CM). My samples are from 2015 and forward, the mags are not all defective as someone here alluded to (bad batch). If it works in a AXSA and not in a AT-X, well since the actions are the same... you know the answer.

This weekend I'll get out and try these new mags, hopefully they feed properly.

To be fair, I was assuming all AI’s were the same as the 20 or so I’ve handled or owned.

Turns out, they all don’t do the same thing. I.E. they have some tolerances.

And Scott even said no one could agree on what/how the mag stopping came about or decided on. Yet another discrepancy.

Also, FWIW, the AX’s I have here don’t have feeding issues with the exact same mags the AT-X has feeding issues with.

Which means, something is different. By design or by tolerances, it’s different.

Which is perfectly fine. But the condescending Mark Larue esque replies don’t help.

The issue wasn’t addressed until somewhere around 10 people started complaining. And the response was still “settle down stupids.”

And the response from Scott on every single thing in this thread reads “you should be doing this, fuck you.”

Again, it’s out of the Mark Larue playbook.

Getting a non out of spec mag seems to be working just fine. And AI is taking care of that if it’s the issue.

I picked up 3 new AX mags that I’m assuming are different lot than the out of spec. Works fine.

The communication on the issue was only after quite a few people mentioned issues. Some that were overseas and experiencing a different issue.

Which was some of the complaints. The issue wasn’t communicated prior when it was seemingly known about. As they posted immediately what the issue was.

IMO, MDT’s presence and communication style here is exemplary of what a vendor presence and interaction should be on a social media platform (and yes, sadly…forums are a form of S.M.)

Also IMO, in the limited exposure I have to AI’s forum customer interaction, they have some opportunities to improve in this regard.

IME as a Prog Mang of fairly complex and pretty expensive products, if you can’t take customer negative (but valid) criticism w grace and acceptance, you shouldn’t be facing customers.

Yea, I’m admittedly not good with people. Definitely a flaw of mine. I just say what’s on my mind and I’m not good with EQ and small talk and such. That was acceptable 20 years ago. But doesn’t work so well nowadays.
