Fountainhead is good but the characters in Atlas Shrugs are pretty amazing. You are right about the required reading. I always tell people to start with Anthem move to the Fountainhead and then to Atlas Shrugged.

I had no idea there was a billion dollar fee for whoever pulls out of this deal between Musk and Twitter. Because of the way the deal is structured, much of this information about Musks due diligence is revealing itself to the public instead of being kept behind closed doors.
It's seems like Musk could ruin Twitter without even purchasing it or get it at a discount and expose all the cons. I'm sure that would garner a huge amount of support with potential real users.

I started with Anthem, then Atlas (during a move, so it took me a while) and then The Fountainhead. As far as "how things work" I think Atlas Shrugged is spot on; where as The Fountainhead is all about the individual. In the course of today's events and utter cluster F, Atlas Shrugged is 100% spot on. It's almost as if Rand saw 70 years into the future and picked this out; but reality is she suffered through this in Russia and knew the perils of Communism/socialism/Marxism. People (leftys) say Dagny's role is diminished now because of "railroads" not being what they were. Well, Railroad = Airplanes = Petrochem = mining = pick-a-business and they're all being destroyed by government policy - LOOTING hard work and creativity to reward those who have no work ethic and zero creativity.
