I saw this am that they blew up one of their own bridges to "hinder Russia's advancement". Call me crazy, but I don't think things are going so hot when you are blowing up your own infrastructure. Media still spun it as some type of victory for them.

Yep. We lost the shuttle in 2011

The Rd-180 and Nk-33 rocket engines were what was used for heavy lift. I fact Lockheed and Boeing still have a few dozen stockpiled.

Its not that US space manufacturing is not capable, it was unnecessary. It will hurt Russia in the long run, unless they find another place to sell their engines. It also pushed the US to develop new tech. In that way it’s actually beneficial to the US.

But still, in a unicorn and rainbow world it would be great to see the powers work together. But the realist knows that shit ain’t happening.

Ukraine Government Asks US To Provide 'Gas Lend-Lease'​

According to Foreign Policy, one of the proposals that has been floated by Ukrainian officials would be for the US to provide Ukraine with 6 billion cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) without collecting payment for two years. (i think they mean without collecting ever. period ) The US would deliver the LNG to terminals in Europe, where it will be shipped to Ukraine via pipeline.

It’s estimated that the 6 billion cubic meters of LNG would cost about $8 billion. So far, the US has authorized $54 billion to spend on the war in Ukraine, more than half of which is for military aid. But the US is expected to spend more as the current funding is only meant to last through September 30.

My guess is he's been holed up in Poland in the vicinity of the 82nd's temporary HQ near Rzeszow. Russia knows better than to attack that spot, and dignitaries and celebs can cycle through for their photo ops. Occasionally they will shuttle over to Kiev for an outdoor appearance, then it's safely back out of the country. State probably rented out an entire hotel / resort for this purpose.

He could have negotiated a deal with the Russians to cede the Russian-speaking parts of Ukraine back to Russia. No profit in that tho. A war fought to the last Ukrainian will make him a very very wealthy man.

Our myopic leadership seems comfortable with having a good portion of our military tied up with this, while China eyes Taiwan.

Ukraine Asks America to Send Free Gas for Winter Alongside Free Weapons​

Ukraine will ask the US for natural gas deliveries on the same principle as applied to weapons and ammunition, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said on Tuesday. This “gas lend-lease” will be needed for the coming winter, he said. Meanwhile, the European Union has imposed gas rationing.
“The government of Ukraine has decided to apply to the government of the United States of America to provide our state with a ‘gas lend-lease’ for a stable heating season,” Shmigal announced during a cabinet meeting, according to a video posted to his Telegram channel.
“Preparations for the most difficult winter in our history continue, and we are looking for all possible tools to be ready for any scenario,” he added.
While Shmigal did not elaborate on how the proposed arrangement would work, his use of the term “lend-lease” suggests that Kiev expects to get deliveries of US liquefied natural gas (LNG) for free. The US has long sought to sell its LNG on the European market, but it could not compete with the Russian gas on price.
Washington currently sends millions of dollars’ worth of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine under a WWII-era scheme dusted off in April.
Shmigal’s proposal comes as the state-owned gas company Naftogaz has defaulted on its bonds and requested from the government in Kiev to take “full responsibility for raising the funds needed to import natural gas for the upcoming heating season.”
However, former Ukrainian prime minister Yulia Timoshenko on Monday accused Naftogaz of embezzlement. The company is engaging in the “scam of the century,” asking for billions to buy gas even though Ukraine doesn’t need it and may even be running a surplus, claimed Timoshenko, who headed the US-backed cabinet in 2007-2010 and now sits in the parliament as the head of the ‘Fatherland’ party.

It appears the Antanovsky Bridge has been struck again by HIMARS, completely severing access across this section of the Dniper.

There is a Damn about 20 miles up stream, which provides a access across and would cause a massive issue if destroyed and the cities down stream flooded.

Also Russian forces are building a pontoon bridge next to the antanovsky.

Destruction of this bridge will hurt civilian life more than military movement of equipment. Part of me understands why they did it, but at the same time they are literally destroying infrastructure. If they have legitimate aspirations of regaining these areas, why destroy it? Seem more like an act of desperation.

A Ukrainian defense official denied the claims and told Fox News Digital it was likely a "brutal execution of POWs."

The official said they have "99 percent certainty that this was a Russian strike."
