When I was growing up the whole premise of WWII and Hitler and genocide and all of that seemed SO far away. Like we had evolved so much in a generation. Ha, yeah...not so much. And it's not about racism or secularism or anything like that. It's just the people in power want more power. The "up and coming" politicians get younger and younger. The seniority gets older and more senile and more power hungry. And maybe more evil with each generation.
