My mom wasn’t afraid to beat your azz but her finest method of getting your attention was to pinch your thigh.

I have been in church and had the thigh move done on me and it was exquisite in its effectiveness. You better not cry out or whine either…just had to take it because if you embarrassed her it was gonna get bad once you were taken to the bathroom 😂

Yes it does. Amazing this stuff is not more well known. You want to talk about an ultimate screw job, even by standards of that day.

Personally I don't judge people or activities of the past by current "moral" standards. But there are some things that even back then people said...ahh hold on a sec, that is not cool.

I put up in the book thread the few books I read when that itch to learn more in this area needed to be scratched.

I'm all about country. I was born in Mullens WV, more country there than almost anywhere in the world. But her accent and tone, just doesn't do anything for me. Pretty to look at, but wear some ear plugs.

Ear plugs wouldn't be enough with this one. I'd have to add ear muffs with music piped in through a blue tooth connection with this lady.

That was a very sad story. I wonder how she feels about gun control now?

With that note, a very leftist woman that I know wants to know how to shoot and get a gun because of her neighbors. It's funny when, all of a sudden, they think that they might become a victim that they get interested in the 2nd amendment.

I bought Garrisons book. It is basically the rod building bible. There was a great rod building forum that had tons of info from bamboo rod builders. It is very time & labor consuming.

I would give it a go. It's right up my alley, but it looks like it takes a couple of grand to get the right tools and to do it well, and I wouldn't do it unless I could build them better and cheaper than I could buy them.

It looks like you can get really good Chi Com blanks for cheap and have slave labor do all the tedious and time consuming work!

You are forgetting the first rule of making anything.

Why buy it for $400 when you can make it for $100 after you buy $1200 worth of new tools.

1985, they caught the guy, but I can't find his pic on the internet.. odd
