I have a stand by gen at my house, propane powered and they control the "electric switching" from the mains to the gen.
IIRC Generac was a Briggs and Stratton company and I THINK they spun it off into its own company.
My first generator ran for roughly 15 years, not a bad run. We replaced it this year with a new one as the old was starting to use oil at about 1/2 quart per month. Had a chance to get one and jumped on it. We had been told that they are in very short supply and most of the inventory is going to CA and CO.....hmm wonder why.
Doubt that Generac had much part In it. "Pink" looks to have oversold their system's capabilities on a large scale basis.......
Mis-stating a product's performance capabilities usually catches up with manufacturers pretty quickly. Particularly publicly held companies.
