Sunday is always 1,000yd day on Quantico's Range 4. Sniper School put out T-posts, hangers and steel at 1,035yds so we hung a couple pieces to squeeze out a bit more distance than usual. We were also shooting the Milk Jug at 1,000.
A new (British) guy to Range 4 did it up properly with his AT-X in 6.5. He was getting some velocities and banging his steel:
My MC in 300PRC:
The two 1,035yd targets. Easy day today, overcast, 50 degrees, 1-3mph wind and no mirage.
Milk jug with the monster 1st round hit from the PRC at the top.
Video of the British guy shooting the MC:
Crappy video of the first round hit on the jug. Zoomed in too much to catch the hit (you can see it at the 8sec mark) and I didn't square the reticle on the triggercam - stupid rookie...
