Term limits would greatly reduce the affects of lobbying. On the flip side, seems like the woke younger libs are more willing to get after it, we could end up in an even worse position with a HUGE "squad". I've always maintained my belief that FDR started this, so it's been pushed for 80 years, picking up momentum for the last 20. Trump threw himself in front of it and was merely a speed bump. Dems/Republicans, all part of the status quo, all corrupt self serving swamp dwellers. I've grown tired of trying to inform ignorance. I don't know the answer, at this point I'm starting to accept that this country may be too far gone. Not that I'm not willing to fight for it though.

What the DNC or RNC are paid to think by their donors should have no effect on what policies the voters want.

My preferred policies are:
No money in politics
Maximum of 6 years in office for every politician and judge
No income tax on the first $250,000 of income
Wealth tax on billionaires and giant corporations
Increase base pay and minimum wage by $1000 per month
Teach Civics in school again
Pay students to take ROTC classes
Build federal colleges than only teach STEM and medical degrees
Everybody goes into the military when they turn 18 and gets to keep their M4 when they get out
No infringement of the right to bear arms
No taxes on guns, ammo or suppressors
Public shooting ranges run by the military in every town
Classify the entire US supply chain as a national security asset
Make more and better solar panels than China
Kick China and Russia out of every trade organization until they have free and fair elections
Every large corporation is required to have a union
No spying on American citizens
Replace tax breaks on Yachts and private planes with a luxury tax
Make it illegal for Generals to work for foreign countries or defense contractors
Add a Too Big to Fail tax
Make political corruption a capitol offense

I think you'll find a lot of folks won't appreciate the totalitarian B.S. points that are scattered in that random list.
There are a couple of those that not just myself but others would be willing to take up arms to fight against since they are that truly evil.

Not to mention you also want to apparently pillage as many other countries as you like to get what you want, other folks might not appreciate foreign brutal invaders.... Nor would you if someone was to turn the tables.

Try to remember that the chains you so happily wish to forge for others will be the ones used to bind you by those you thought you were going to use them on.

You do know that corporations only pay taxes on paper, as they're pass through costs?
Every business expense is factored into the price of their product or service.
It might make you feel good to "stick it to the man" but it hurts the consumer.
As far as a wealth tax, did Elon Musk steal or somehow defraud you? If the answer is yes, there are existing legal avenues to pursue.
If it's no, why are you entitled to the money he worked for?

The most infamous fascist was Hitler.
He was a failed liberal arts student who blamed all the country's problems on the rich. He was a vegetarian who supported gun control, universal healthcare, and said a segment of the population didn't really count as people, and exterminated them en mass.
Which part of the above doesn't sound indentical to a modern lefty?

Common traits of fascism are ultra-nationalism, autocracy, use of force to eliminate political rivals, favoritism of a particular ethnicity and/or religion. Hitler’s Healthcare systen was inherited from Bismarck‘s Weimar Republic. But it wasn’t for everybody, it was now for Aryans only. Non-Aryans that were sick were euthanized. Hitler’s gun control laws were for Jews, they were completely banned from owning guns. Gun control laws for Aryans were relaxed. Hitler never received any liberal arts education or any type of higher education. Hitler’s vision for education was its sole purpose was to create great soldiers. By all accounts he was an excellent soldier and even received the Iron Cross. Overall I give him poor marks at being a lefty.

Mussolini was wildly popular before WW2. All the women wanted to fuck him and all the men wanted to be him.

I’m seeing a lot of anti-democracy rhetoric from people that supposedly love freedom and autonomy.
