My buddy has an EV, he sounds like you................................................until he has to drive 300 miles and it takes 10 hours.
10 hours? 30 minutes tops for me…. Usually 15-20 minutes as the car prewarms the battery.

It the most cost effective if you charge at home overnight… but may car charges FAST depending on the type of charger used. Nope, not as fast as getting gas, but fast enough.

0-80% is FAST FAST. 80-100% gets progressively slower.

Then there’s a difference in cost to actually operate a vehicle:

EV's run on COAL, Natural Gas, or Nuclear...
you can lie to yourself and say it's wind. (unless you on a sailboat on the Ocean)
OR you can skip the middle man, and just run a Gas/Natural gas vehicle or a Diesel.
You know the best part about driving a gas or a Diesel; Some 7 year old kid slave in the Congo isn't having to mine the Lithium for you.

You know, I bought the car because it goes fast, right… Not because I care about any of the other crap

Yeah, but you spend more on testosterone treatments.

Yep, my testosterone supplement is my 35 year old wife.
So you are 23 with an EV and a 35yo woman for a wife?

Or 65 and you bought the car to impress a 35yo woman who is desperate enough to marry you?

There are so many pathetic options that you should just stop sharing before you unleash Dirty D's fat broads on all of us.

One day we all might be forced into battery car sadness, until then I'll keep enjoying my Shelby.

Dont talk about him! If you mention his name, he will show up! Jesus Christ, what are you trying to do…. Create a fattastrope!!

… And you forgot the intermediate choice, which is that were 10 years apart.

Brings up a question I have had for decades: how many women marry for security and not love? All the way from trailer park types to penthouses. I have seen it I don’t know how many times. But for some reason the dude never clues in.

In our case, it was neither of us from going to get married, and we just happen to run into each other and really like each other and get along fantastically.

In the case of my mother, she’s a Golddigger no doubt about it…

50% / 50%
JMHO

Edit:

Never present yourself as the man offering "security".

I will not go to an EV in my lifetime.
My kids are talking about buying in and for them that's fine. Me, I have not bought a new car since my SLK 32 AMG and have no plans to EVER buy another new car. Maybe a 240Z restro-mod EV might make me change my mind... https://www.youtube.com/embed/DB-IWfj1KKc

The issue is that it's not always practicle to have an EV.

If you live near a major coast to coast highway, you'll be able to charge, etc. etc... But if you're in the interior of the country, you'll need a gas car...

Our other car is the very Soccer Momish Subaru Ascent, as my wife didn't want to spend crazy money on something that was good in bad weather.... etc.

Get's shit gas milage, but it has a ~500 mile range, as opposed to my car that's a 330 mile range EV.

Folks do realize right that there is nothing that says you only have to have 1 vehicle?
Folks also do realize that there is nothing that says if you have an EV you have to only have an EV right?

I'd say the better part of working class dual income households have 2 vehicles. Even many other types of households or single households have something like a big truck to go out do playing around with and a daily driver vehicle for the commute to work and back.

There is ZERO motivation from your cock gobbling talk about electric vehicles. Shut the fuck up about them, or start a thread outside of this one so we can all get back to tits, ass and actual motivational shit.
