What dumb shit are we going to see from ShotShow this year?

If this isn’t passed out to every attendee, I’m going to be very disappointed. 😆

I am going to make one of those in the shop…. Just so I can post the photo!!!

That would be hilarious! The firearms community has been on snooze mode for years.

We’ll probably see another Rem700 footprint action with a gay ass name, and the upgrade will be a color change.

We’ll see another AR-15 and Ar-10 with a gay ass name, and the upgrade will be they added another coil on the spring for the ejection port cover.

We’ll see another faggy chassis system with a gay ass name, and the upgrade will be that…well…nothing.

We’ll see another scope with a gay ass name, and the upgrade will be that it has a reticle with more dots than last year’s.

That is the state of the firearms community.

Don’t even get me started on all of the gay ass hunting and outdoor faggy shit they’ll have some influencers peddling. S.H.O.T. Is gayer than the San Francisco Pride Parade.

Someone needs to get a picture of Felipe
There needs to be a sizable bounty/reward, because the last time professional camera crews tried they totally sucked and produced a useless photo montage.

For sure the stupidest thing @ S.H.O.T. will be 400 semi trucks of freight with a combined gross weight of 7.2 million pounds shoved into a facility that was only ever designed to handle 3 million pounds.

Can’t wait to see a new action with innovative features like:

1. Bolt
2. bolt release
3. Safety
4. Uber combat camouflage Diamond hard coat
5. Name: Zeus Delta Ranger Recon 2000. The name represents the one time the manufacturer was behind a Recon Marine in the liquor store.

Low introductory price for 1960’s technology made in modern machines:
$14,999.00 or one flip.

Seriously, I expect this to happen in real life.

I swear I've seen this before.
If it hasn’t yet manifested unto this known universe, it thus is a sacred sign for it to slouch towards Bethlehem! Go forth, young man, go forth and help shepherd this mighty gift! For you are the one chosen to tear this blinding, mewling genius from the very teats of the Earth itself!

Ooh, verily, ye shall be rich beyond comprehension. Shot show 2024, booth 777.

Well not exactly, the .221 Fireball is a hot little number, nothing whispering about her. With a little effort she’ll take down rams at distances too hard to even see. Likes speed, lots and lots of speed.

Take a 221 Fireball case, run the .270 expander in them, then the 30, ready to load. That's where my 30/221 brass came from for decades. :)

They only go to SHOT because the porn conference is right after.
Ah the days of going to Comdex... and the porn convention went on at the same time. Including the Adult Oscars.

Holy crap, the stuff you saw on the planes flying in to Vegas! One memory that sticks out was some porn star chick in an electric blue Unitard carrying a Thighmaster on the plane. Bah ha hah haha ha....

Best part of Comdex was going for steak a Benny Binion's Horseshoe lounge. THE best steaks.

Now it's a useless fern bar.

Damn... fun memories!

Easier and far less expensive is to take .223 brass, run it though a .30/.221 form/trim die, trim off the excess and debur. Published an article about this a couple decades ago. At that time, decent .223 brass was 20 bucks per hundred, Fireball brass was running $45.00 per hundred. Easy choice, worked great, still does though it is kind a pointless considering the cost and availability of any brass these days.

Our son adapted a production line using a chop saw, which had become the more popular method. He appreciated it because he had quite a bit of .223 brass with split necks.

A double action only, top break, bull pup, revolver in 357 mag.

No really...

This is actually quite interesting! Better than another rem700 footprint action with a gay ass name.

Don't give them ideas....

In 5 years we're going to be looking back at the "Tactical Lever Action Fad..." and say to ourselves: "Selves... this is the stupidest thing we've fallen for since the brief and forgetworthy 'Scout Rifle' fad of about 2011." Yeah, that lasted a minute. But those Lever action abominations were and are... abominations.

If you suggest a DAO, Webley built into an SA-80 in a puffed-out .38... they'll not only build it. But they'll offer it in Ukrainian flag colors and it'll have custom bottom metal and a Quint-pod. Which they will be introducing at SHOT. Five legs is better than 3, 2, or 1. (I am patenting that, BTW.)

Cheers,

Sirhr

I really wish someone would manufacture a modern Webley. I remember a decade back that it was a discussion.

On a related note. I can't wait for RRS to come out with a Quadrapod, to get around the "no tripod" stages in PRS comps...

Certainly not easier.

When I bought my most of my 221 brass it wasn’t that expensive. And now the brass is free everywhere, just have to bend over and pick it up. ;)
