Unfortunately, there's a bit of a "cultural" problem with the above method. Most of the USA adopts the "MM/DD/YY" (well "YYYY" to account for Y2K) method as a matter of "culture." Most of Europe etc adopts "DD/MM/YY" for the same reason. I think what would be better for all is if we all adopted the "Computer/IT" method of "YY/MM/DD." And, of course, if you do drop the year, it goes back to what I had said, originally. :eek: :D
