Foundation also has a black that is just gorgeous. I bought one for my 300 PRC build. I can send a pic of that as well if you like. It is the stock, with Defiance Machine RUKUS LA. Just waiting on the barrel.

Yes, it is an add-on provided by the factory. They actually have two versions, one is slim like mine in the picture and the other is wide.
Very nice. I recently completed my first higher end rifle using defiance/proof/AG composites, and I wanted to step it up to a 300PRC next and was considering a foundation. Really like the black action/barrel against the dark distressed finish on that other one.
Picked up my Terminus Zeus today and god damn am I impressed. Exceptionally well machined, super slick, and flawless finish. Money well spent imo. Tossed together the barreled action, proof 300 prc 1:9t.

My new 300PRC barrel will be a 30" Bartlein with a 9.25-9.00 gain twist. Some have tried to convince me to go with a 1:8 saying that the heavier bullets need the faster speed. I reached out to Hornady directly and this what they said: "You may be able to run the 230 gr. A-Tip that requires the 1-9 twist. However you are not going to be able to run the 250 gr. A-Tips. Sorry"

1-9t in actuality covers everything you'll realistically be able to and want to shoot in the cartridge; 180-230 grain. Quite frankly anything north of 230 is better served in a Norma Magnum. Additionally, in the big 30's a fast twist may possibly limit you to the heavy stuff, 230+, as there are plenty of guys who have their 1-8's turn the lighter stuff into dust mid flight as jackets separate. I have 230 A Tips, they are plenty for out to a mile. My understanding there as well is that you should take the speed of < 230 grain projectiles since at most distances you will not really even be able to take advantage of the added BC from the 250. Norma makes sense for the 250 since you can get it moving faster. Hornady made there OTC Match load based around a 225 grain for a reason. It's a balance of speed and BC at a given distance. I would actually go as for to say that inside of, say, 1000 yards you are actually hindering yourself from a technical / performance standpoint taking the 250 over the 230. The 300 PRC, 30-375R, will be a cataloged item with SAMMI in the next two weeks. I don't know how long it will take them to add it to their website. Dave Manson has the specs and can make anyone a reamer.

I feel a lot better about my barrel choice now. My gunsmith was adamant about the 1:9 and i greatly respect his experience and opinion. This helps me answer some of the why. Someone else i know was encouraging me to change citing Berger (for their 245s) and Hornady but I am not.
Oh and i forgot to ask... what kind of muzzle velocities are you going for in the 300PRC?
No problem! As always, it can't hurt to give the heavier bullets a try for yourself but this is just my understanding and experience. I think you made a good choice in your build and it will serve you well.
If I can get my 230 A Tips somewhere around 2850-2900 and 208 LRX to 3000+ I'll be happy. Can't speak to it more than that though on this new rifle as I haven't gotten to begin load development yet. FYI the sort of "go to" powders for this cartridge seem to be H1000, RL26, and Retumbo. I prefer Federal Gold Metal Match primers and ADG Brass as well. Will definitely reload Hornady and Lapua brass I have too, though.

Tried to convert my prs rig into a coyote rig. She's a tad long and a tad heavy but with limited funds this is the best I could do. Ultimate plan is to sell this barreled action and get an origin with a lighter and shorter 6.5 prc barrel to shoot nrl hunter matches and then build an entirely different prs rig.

My 7mm PRC is wearing a new suit. An XLR Evolution Chassis reared it's head and I figured I'd give it a try.
Apparently the Jp rifles arca rail fits the round gen1 handguard with minimal mods. Im about to order the 10" rail.
Just put this together today. ARC Nucleus with 25" criterion .308 barrel, TT diamond 2 stage, and an AICS 2.0 chassis. Nomad L has been in jail for 9 months, so hopefully that shows up soon. I like the KN203/PVS9, so I'll probably bin the IMUNS mount until I have the money for a thermal clip on that'll support higher magnification. I like the LS117 IR laser but I will probably get a FP PEQ or D2. I also wouldn't mind a SiCo Radius. I do have an arca spigot and an arca rail- just need a lower profile rail for the LS117 and an arca bipod adapter.
I'd say it's half done. Biggest thing I want is a better optic, probably a 5.5-30 XTR3. I can't use a longer optic like a Mk5 5-25 or ATACR because of the PVS9. XTR3 seems to have the best combo of price, dimensions, features, and quality for my needs. However I'm open to suggestions, and I might start a thread in the optics/sighting equipment forum.
Hopefully I won't be run off for being a poor!
New MDT ACC ELITE in Titanium Blue. I just switched over from the ACC Premier to the New ACC ELITE, so far I love the ELITE. I added the dampners to the butt stock and external weights to the chassis to bring up the weight on my 6CM. I’m running BAT TR Action, Bench Mark Custom MTU Barrel and Bix n Andy Trigger. Running Berger 105‘s at 3100 fps with H4350 and 205 GM Match Primers.

Nice set up! I’m currently running ACC‘s on my rifles, one with ACC Premier and one with the ACC ELITE, I love them, However, I really want to try a Foundation. I’ve been looking at the Centurion and the Genesis II. How do you like the Foundation compared to chassis?

Two new to me GAP builds. First one is a Templar LA in 25x284 Norma, Manners PRS1 with Arca Rail, TT Diamond. Came with a spare barrel in 6.5x284 Norma and 1500 rounds of Copper Creek Ammo.
Second one is a 591 Surgon, Foundation with Arca Rail, Tim Hit. Originally 25 Creedmoor, but had a Bartlien 6mm GT spun up and installed.
Took both out to the sand pit, a few into backstop to zero and the first 5 of each on paper @ 200 yds.

Sweet rifles. I had a 6.5-284 that i loved. That "wood" stock is awesome!
Had a friend meet me there today, he's like "I gotta get me one of those wood stocks, looks fantastic". Wants to put it on his Rem 40x, I had to break it to him and tell him is mircata.
He's all good with that.The 2nd barrel (6.5x284) is being used in another Templar LA build, just waiting on the action returning from nitriding.

Finland has been reasonably warm for the last few days.
Weather sites said 22 C (72 F) , or so from Saturday to Monday, in my area. It felt warmer then that when I spent 8 hours out in the open on Saturday and Sunday for an IPSC Match.

Just finished this custom savage for my significant other. Hand made the stock myself at McMillan. All of the color is the gel coat of the stock just like the marble patterns from them.

That gel coat looks awesome. What case/ case insert is that?
The case is a 53” Elyar case from Amazon in white.
The foam is the new magpul daka grid. I removed all of the base foam and trimmed the daka grid to fit. I didn’t use the other type of foam magpie gives with the daka grid. Didn’t fit.
I went with the grid system because the regular foam the case came with was not supporting the weight of the rifle. The magpie grid system is phenomenal, I absolutely love it and holds the rifle like solid. Also now I have built in provisions for the ammo cases and extra room for tool bags or magazines or whatever. It’s totally configurable and that’s the best part. Overall only have $375 into the case and I’d argue that’s an incredible value.
I just picked up Manners TCS-PRS this week. I’ve been running MDT ACC’s on my rigs, but have heard good things about the TCS, so I decided to pick one up. Your rifle looks Great.Just dropped my 30BR barreled action varmit rig into a Manners TCS-PRS
