of all the T&A I like here, this one made me lose room in my pants the quickest...
I had to look that up, not being from around there.
Same era I had a Jan sport bag on a Kelty frame. My wife had an adventure 16. In fact after hiking the Sierra from Kernville to Lassen three times, we still have them in the storage room as bug-out bags. Sturdy and pretty comfortable. We wanted the square frames rather than form fitted simply to get some air on our backs.

True story, I met a manager who was in charge of “content moderation” at Facebook (yeah, I actually met the final boss face to face). I started telling her how FB was like my ex wife bringing up stuff I had posted two years ago and that my account “restriction history” is two pages long (go figure) and she was none too amused with me and tried to justify them restricting my account for posting a picture of Jeffrey Dahmer and got downright pissed off when I laughed in her face.
If you met a FB person with the title of "Manager", you are at least three steps down the food chain.
