ARC Coup de Grace Builds

So I dropped it in my HNT chassis and I think I’m going to go that route.

One thing to note is that AICS mags will not lock without modifying the mag latch. I’m going to reach out and see if MDT has a shorter one and if not then I will file down the latch on the new chassis when I get it.

I like that look. Seems like a nice looking chassis from here.
I love it, been running it since 2021 and if they weren’t so expensive I’d buy a bunch. The next one will be non arca and I’ll grab an SRS mini ARCA and their ARCA/pic rail to mount on the front.

Did aw mags latch up into the hnt26?

Are you running a Barlock with flat breach on the PRC?
Yup, the barrel is a savage Prefit that was previously on my Archimedes. If I hold the mag in it feeds in the CDG with no hiccups so far. I’ll be able to get a better test when I get the new chassis with a lower latch but so far it is promising.

Anyone tried to do a lightweight build yet? Wondering what realistic weight would be since this actions weighs a metric ton…

The Nucleus is a decent action for a lighter build. The CDG would not be my choice for that. It’s much more competition oriented from my point of view.

Nice looking rifle, but don’t you think that a nice red bolt knob would match the red accent on the Burris really well? 😁😉
Lol it probably would have I was fighting with that website so bad when they went live for purchase that I didn’t care about the color

I’m waiting on my barrel to come back in, but I’m having the same issue with AICS mags in my HNT26.

MDT offers two shorter catches, -.5mm and -1mm, I think I’m going to get a .5 and file it to fit.

has anyone built one on a MDT XRS yet? I was looking at the bravo but I really don't want to have to modify the chassis to fit. I'm hoping its essentially the same inlet with all the MDT's and it would work the same as the HNT26, which look awesome by the way.

I have one kicking around I can test for you later today.

I found, with the trigger hanger tune I have presently, the TT diamond fires upon close if I run it hard with anything below 1lbs 6 oz. Until I can get back at it, anybody think a different hanger setting will matter? Are the two correlated.

Which bolt handle do you have?

I assumed. You’ll want the fixed handle:
Rich (BB code):
Triggers
Remington 700 compatible - must be used without bolt release
We suggest using fixed bolt handles for Trigger Tech Diamonds, Bix'N Andy Tac Sport Pro, and other ultra-lightweight triggers
Tubb triggers are not compatible with current trigger hanger design

I was told by ARC that the diamonds would work so as long as they were set 1lbs and above. Well, I guess 1lbs 6oz is close. I will make the cock on open a little tighter with the hanger and see.

Drops in without modifications to my recent production XRS, but I didn’t check the whole of trigger hanger travel because I’m not tuning it again.

OK, got back to the hanger tuning. I tuned it so it would barely be off contact on the uplift. I was able to set the trigger to 14oz with no fire. Added a couple more ounces to make my 1lbs pull and all is well. So, there is a correlation between setting the hanger and trigger pull. OK, just need my barrel from those pirates at PVA! :ROFLMAO: (Benchmark 26" burnt bronze metallic cerakote, 6 straight flute, 708AI)

28” of 6GT

All my gt's have been 28" it works well, and balances the rifles great. I just had a gt barrel spun for my ai atx, going 30" hvy varm lol. Should run dtacs up around 3k pretty easily. Dtacs in my 28" at 2880 is a cupcake load. Very minimal if any expansion on lower portion of fired cases.

What twist are you guys running in those 28” barrels for 6 GT

I prefer a 7.5tw, 237 bore. My first was a kreiger 7.5 236 bore and I fought psi issues with rl16 and carbon rings. Second was a Bartlein 5r, last two barrels been Hawkhill. I like hawkhill the best thus far. However I did just cut a 30" kreiger 237 bore 7.5tw hvy varm 6gt for my AI. We will see how that goes!

I’m going between 7 and 7.5 for an upcoming 6GT build. I can’t decide
