The producers and actors have stressed the purpose of this movie is to increase awareness as to the problem of human trafficking, especially with regards to children. Some of us apparently still want to deny it and hide our heads in the sand, while others attack the movie every chance they get. Those that attack it are usually protecting...someone or something. Thank you very much for the update (all the sources that published this story should have included the update that "the Committee revoted" 6-0, with one person changing their vote and two people abstaining from voting), but my understanding of California legislative process, which might be faulty as I fortunately am not a resident, is that it now technically takes 12 months for the State Assembly (legislators) to go back and vote on this again, now that the Committee has adjusted its vote "after public backlash".

Again, when the source of the victims (as to this movie), are in other countries and organizations like OUR don't have a legal way to go about getting to the traffickers or kids, (because sometimes they don't have cooperation with other jurisdictions/governments) just turn a blind eye instead? I think that's one of the principles of this movie. How do you propose the traffickers are caught without having someone pose as being involved in the process?
My conclusion is, yes you have to present yourself as the buyer, just like the ATF and DEA do when operating out of their jurisdictions (and even in their jurisdictions) and trying to catch illlegal buyers and sellers. So you are saying for those organizations (assuming done morally without corruption and seeking personal gain) that pretending to be a "buyer with money" or "a seller with a product" would likely increases the illegal drugs and weapons trading? The answer should be "not if done correctly", not even close.

I think he is referring to the lawsuit reported today DOJ against Texas' inflatable barriers in the Rio Grande because anything that keeps illegal traffickers and their products out is bad according to Branden and his DOJ. Because "Remain in Mexico" isn't really a law even though the Supreme Court of the United States said it is; and yes it is very relevant to this discussion given that Ballard went to Trump along with others informing him that most kids would not be able to get into the US for trafficking if their was a solid physical border, or at least significantly reduced by orders of magnitude.
