There was quite a bit, made for some good themes for TV shows. But he still said what he said and made a huge ass out of himself. And afterwards, on the occasion he was on to legit info his credibility was tarnished.

Actually, I am the Y2K. Let me explain.
I do electrical work. We were doing a remodel of the first floor of a building in Richardson, Texas in 2000. It used to be all one company but that got sold and separate office spaces were then sold. We had existing circuits we could use, according the prints given to us. We got down to the point of turning off circuits in order to connect our stuff. So I, being in charge of the project, turned off the breakers. Then we went to lunch.
Came back. Old habit, put a meter on the feed, it was hot again. Back in the electrical room, we discovered a breaker turned back on. Turned it off and waited a few minutes. A lady came in, 3 shades of mad. The circuit used to be a common circuit that ran around the whole floor. She was in charge of this section of what they call the "backkbone" of the internet. As in, a major hub. I shut down the internet twice in one day. Once before lunch, once after lunch.
God, what power.
So, we reconfigured stuff and left "her" circuit alone.

In some places it did get a bit messy. We spent over an entire year fixing the AS400 stuff that ran a major candy water company. They hired a team of.....IIRC, it has been a day or two......20 people and 4 managers working two shifts to convert 90 into 1990 so the past records would still work and be "findable". Candy water is "food" and the .gov has all kinds of stuff you must do if you make "food".
It was a little bumpy when we switched, but we had "switched at least 4 times as "tests" up to midnight in dec 1999. It really went very smooth for us as we had a multi billion $$ world wide company that actually know just how messy it would be if it did not work right after the tick of midnight.

During lockdowns there should have been a statistical HUGE increase in births from people kept from their jobs and forced to stay in their homes, that phenomena is seen just from a 3 day power outage!
