Always factor in the "Membership Fee" when computing Costco's cost per item. Long ago their spiel was they only made money on the membership fee.
There stock has done well since 2005.
I bought 5 gallons of olive oil back when it was 9.99 a gallon, still have 3, it's over 20 a gallon now.
that membership fee is cheap, when you figure what you save on gas, and just a few items -- compared if you were forced to buy at Safeway.

The only reason that King Poopy Pants is doing this now is because the border jumpers are now invading the blue states that were only virtue signaling before.

A company I worked for won the bid to build a small rural bridge for the state highway department. Our bid, the lowest, was approximately $2.5 million, about half a mil over engineers estimate so the state declared the bidders non responsive and put the RFP out again for rebid. We won the rebid as well and did the job at $3.1 million. The delay of the rebid pushed the construction into the winter so the new price took into account the costs of building it in the winter.
