Syria is one of the places with the most religious tolerance of all the Arab countries (that is until the CIA/USA funded ISIS to try to get a cheap pipeline and the USA and Saudi backed ISIS monsters went around killing everyone they didn't like).
You also haven't obviously seen behind the propaganda and seen the actual videos of how Jews treat Christians in Israel, things that here would be denounced as hate crimes all over the news media if Christians did them to Jews here, are just shrugged off by the police in Israel as hate is fine if we are doing it.
I can tell you this from the experience of my actual personal family.
Christian Missionaries were & are treated way better by Palestinians, and by the Lebanese and by the Syrians than they are by the Jews.
This in no way excuses evil atrocities and genocide against the Jews by fanatical Muslims.
