I had tags and was thinking about leaving to go hunting.
Pretty sure K helped pack my bags and truck faster than I could check stuff off the list…..
Was hunting. Decided to stay another day.
“Yes dear. Be safe and have fun!”
And then a big hug and kiss when I got home.
And while I missed her too, its good to have apart time and alone time.

Heated waterer didn’t freeze at 10° last night 
Nice. We swapped out the tiny bulb in our hummingbird feeder warmer for a 60w plant bulb since it was dropping to 15*.
My birthday is Dec 31. I party from Dec 1 to New Year's Eve. I get tickets to the Alamo bowl, for a festive gathering of 16 or 20k people (they don't know its my birthday), Two squads of dancing girls, a Veteran's reception center on the same floor as our seats, and stay on base (Ft Sam). December is a hell of a month.

Obvious sarcasm alert, but these days you never know. Solar works great here. I used to get to drive around to remote well sites all winter and change the dead and frozen batteries for charged ones, in my gas powered pickup that got about 10mpg. Then take them back to a shop heated with natural gas and charge them with electricity from natural gas or diesel generators. To be fair, those solar systems had nothing to do with saving the world, it was just the best way to get power out in the bush.

Even in today's modern times that town remains relatively remote and isolated.
Most citizens in country have never been out west and therefore never experienced vast empty space.
A couple years back I stopped in that town got a haircut and went to the Safeway store and picked up some lunch meat a loaf of bread.
Back in the day did that town like Burns Oregon have its own electric power generation station?
The last time I was in Burns the old power station building was still standing.
Worked at a place that would hang a sign on the men's restroom while it was being cleaned. The sign read:
Do not enter
Female staff present
I asked a female VP to read the sign and her response was "so". Then I said, read it exactly as it is written. The next day the signs had all be rewritten and changed.
