Somehow EV/Hybrid ownership has turned into a political statement.
However, I like EV/Hybrids when used to improve the vehicle's handling and acceleration performance like the Porsche 918, Tesla Roadster, and the Corvette e-Ray.

YMMV, happy shooting.

Agreed. However there is something Primal about the sound of a V8 😬😋

and ya left out the SF90

I am a firm believer in ”hybrids”. Berger 144’s are GREAAAAAT! Berger 105’s are pretty darned good as well.

Oh, we were talking about motor vehicles weren’t we?. Yep, all mine are hybrids. They have that tiny little electric motor that sits on the side of the BIG Chevy V-8! It gives it a boost in the morning to get going. Then Shuts Up and keeps out of the way!

Pictured below, 3/4 ton 6.0 liter Chevy V-8 and 5.3 liter Chevy V-8. They can both pull trailers cross country, without having to spend hours standing in line waiting to get to a fancy charging station, and no heavy, rare earth metal battery in the frame area to lug around.

Dammit Hank, will you please try and keep up. I clicked on the post you’re referring to it. It take me something like three pages back.
Hahahah. Good one.
This isn’t a live conversation. I spend days at the range or the ranchito, or the ham shack and drop in here.
Wait till I resurrect a long dead subject.

2024 Wildflower Season Update

It is too early to know if there will be an impressive bloom during our normal wildflower season (mid-February through mid-April). However, there are already a few patches of wildflowers blooming out of season. As of January, the best places to see flowers are Panamint Valley and Ubehebe Crater. Sprouts are starting to pop up near Furnace Creek Visitor Center and in washes throughout the park.

Brother EVERYTHING is a political stand these days.

Sides, everything has to be divided into sides…and to not divide your life dependent on ideology is perhaps the most egregious sin of all.

You’re not a “real conservative“ if you ___________________________ !

^ is just as stupid as when the progressives do it.

I DO believe in hard stands on issues of Liberty and Right/Wrong. I do not think liking a nearly 8 second car that happens to be electric makes you a sellout...or turbo 4 cyl cars…or eating the duck in a nice restaurant with your wife…or having a gay friend…or keeping your Yeti cooler…or using 6.5 Creedmoor…

makes you not on the right side (you MOA guys are close to the line though)…
At least true moa guys understand it is an angle and could switch with no problems.

Luucyy..... you got some esplainin' ta do!

You ever seen the steel they make those things out of? What the hell did he hit? The Washington monument?

Hood on that thing is stamped out of 3/32nds battleship hull. Folding that up I am surprised the driver even lived! The horn button is basically a Bowie knife.

I was thinking the same thing. Like a train hit it!

This Torino, 428CJ (SCJ?) belonged to the dad of a friend of mine when he was in high school

Once he started looking for it, it took the son 10 years to find it and another 12 to get the owner to sell it back to him so he could give it to his dad for his birthday

They are restoring it together

This is a picture of him hauling it back home to the ranch where it started out

That Torino should have been 429 CJ or SCJ . 428s stopped in 69 that is a 70 year model .
