Every hand that touches registered mail has to sign chain of custody receipts and the mail is locked up the whole way. Theft does not occur because of the accountability for whoever touches it.

Man, I’m going on vacation that way lolRegistered mail is actually very cheap. I have used it a whole lot. I sent a rifle I own that is the only known existing example across the country registered mail once. I trust it. I think it cost me 50 bucks. Probably a bit more now.
There’s a whole thread dedicated to it in this sub forum.Side question…. Do many folks out there run an AI chassis with (insert custom 700 style action)? I feel like I never see many builds just utilizing the chassis. I have a Zermatt TL3 around and honestly thinking of picking up just the AT-X chassis.
Guess that’s the way ima do it then since it looks like getting another SFP bolt is:Registered mail is actually very cheap. I have used it a whole lot. Stupid question but the lift is lighter after dry firing? At Shot Show and can confirm the XC’s oversized knob is MASSIVE and the bolt lift is significantly lighter.
Overall didn’t feel a whole lot lighter
Ask them about parts for existing rifles. Like bolts and firing pins!!!!Yeah, just comparing it dry on the show floor to the AXSR/ATX
Ok I was just curious. Mine are identical. Until you drop the firing pin. AT is 9lbsboltliftmafia and ATX is 12lbsboltliftgangYeah, just comparing it dry on the show floor to the AXSR/ATX
Hey I saw on instagram the XC they had there didn't have a firing pin in so the guy couldn't test it, while all the other rifles had pins in. Could you get video of the difference for the hide?At Shot Show and can confirm the XC’s oversized knob is MASSIVE and the bolt lift is significantly lighter.

This is the part that gets me. I wouldn't care about the bolt lift on my AT-X if the bolt lift wasn't significantly lighter/smoother on my 15 AT, but it is.Ok I was just curious. Mine are identical. Until you drop the firing pin. AT is 9lbsboltliftmafia and ATX is 12lbsboltliftgang

You either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain

The ones I seen didn’t have a firing pin! That’s why they were lighter. At Shot Show and can confirm the XC’s oversized knob is MASSIVE and the bolt lift is significantly lighter.

He must’ve had a few drinks before he made it to the AI booth.Well that pretty much sums up the bolt lift being better![]()
Doesn’t look like the new bolt will swap into the earlier gen AT- X actions. Back of the bolt shroud is a different shape
I’m going to assume it will be like the AXSR bolt. Which is not compatible with the AXMC it replacedI think it’s just scalloped, as long as the firing pin assembly will fit in the bolt body it won’t matter anyway. Assuming the breech ring is the same as current AT actions, which is probably not a safe assumption.

That figures. Heaven forbid existing owners get anything that could be backwards compatible.
I need 31 years. LolI mean... The atx gen 4 v5.7 to aw are ? That's like 30 some years of compatibility
It does have a cant to it if you look at other pictures of it.Anyone else notice that the pic rail on the AT-XC Mil isn’t angling down at 20moa like the scope rail?

My AX sure seems to have a continuously angled 20moa rail all the way to the end of the handguard.
Not like it matters, really. I don’t think. Looks weird. Hmmmm. I don’t own any thermal/NV.

Every AI had firing pins except the “dynamic bolt lift AI”. Did you notice that?
Why would a company advertise a new action with better bolt operation and then make that the only action on the display that doesn’t have a firing pin and can’t be legitimately compared to the ones next to it.Yeah, I guess I’m just a full retard and didn’t even notice there was no firing pin, especially because the rest did now that I think about it. No wonder it was so light.
I’ll try and stop by again and see if it’s changed today and try to get some answers on the legacy AT parts.

Probably told you it’s lighter to huh?
Then zip tied it to the table
Damn!Well...today I applied lessons learned from my purchase of the AXMC some 5 years ago.
Although I still have not decided about the purchase of an LH AXSR to go with my AT and AXMC, I did buy all of the LH AXSR bolt bodies and a spare LH AXSR Shroud/Firing Pin Assy today.
At least I will have everything should I decide to purchase the AXSR.
Are there poors in a dedicated AI thread?Damn!
Guys here trying to scrounge up pennys to buy a barrel
You bought the whole damn shelf for a gun you don’t even own!!
Nice flex on the poors!![]()
With the new AI’s and pricing…..Are there poors in a dedicated AI thread?
Until they come out with a gen2 LH AXSR that uses a new bolt and they discontinue the gen1 rifleWell...today I applied lessons learned from my purchase of the AXMC some 5 years ago.

I can always sell them all if I don't go that route but makes a future purchase much more feasible. I am a practical person after all
Well I bought my AXMC when they announced the AXSR...Until they come out with a gen2 LH AXSR that uses a new bolt and they discontinue the gen1 rifle![]()
LOLYes. We have our own special club if you care to join
you went from "never" to "i did buy" pretty fast lol. I get it though. The AXSR is irresistible. Especially in Elite Sand. The only improvement I could see would be eliminating the safety completely (bolt guns don't need safeties) and bonding the action. Oh, and space for both hex keys in the cheekpiece. And it should come with the TBAC SR brake instead of the CB one.Well...today I applied lessons learned from my purchase of the AXMC some 5 years ago.

…or the 308 axsr mags depending on whether you're really shooting 308 because you want to, or just practicing for a real cartridge.
Lol, shots fired.

(I personally like key slot, the axsr trigger, the grip, etc). ....And actually it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they made an AXMC style mag spacer so you had the option of running 308 AICS or AW mags or the 308 axsr mags depending on whether you're really shooting 308 because you want to, or just practicing for a real cartridge.
Curious why you bought all 3 though. I mean, why not buy 2, as the 3rd will come with the rifle? now you'll have 4 bolt bodies
I'm going to be an enabler here... I think you'd be really happy with the Axsr.LOL
I believe I said, "never unless all options were available at the time of purchase." All options were available today so my statement is consistent.
I am on the fence but I figured that this was a no-lose scenario. I will always be able to sell the parts to some poor sole like me when the AXSR is replaced and a southpaw is looking for parts or earlier if the LH parts dry up.
I don't think I would buy the rifle without trying one but who knows
