Yes - rebreathers even underwater would extend that O2 time.
Also Boyle's law comes into play regarding atmospheric pressure which can be quite a lot for those cave divers using side mounts vs space with...no atmospheric pressure

I live in the Arkansas River Valley between 2 National Forests. Beautiful place.
That said , from Pagosa Springs to Durango…Silverton…Ouray….Gunnison is Epic.
If Oklahoma wasn’t in the way , I’d go every year before Winter or Spring.

It is beautiful. Back when, our carpool drove it every workday as far as Silverton, from Durango then up Cement Creek to the Sunnyside. Dug holes for gold for 8 hrs then drove back. One day they told us that if the weather is good tomorrow don't come to work, the state was going to do avalanche control. Weather was nice, stayed home, back the next day. They shot but nothing came down. We watched really close for a couple days. There were 86 slide paths between my house and the mine.
Still really beautiful.
Edit: For a nice drive this is a good trip. Take your time, pull over now and then and enjoy it.

Boyles Law. Multiple ATMs, as opposed to a vacuum (1 ATM in the suit). Every 33'= 1ATM. @33' (2 ATM) your air lasts half as long as at the surface. @ 66' your air lasts 1/3 as long as at the surface and at 99' 1/4, and so on. Also a space suit isn't equipped with "air" tanks, but most likely a pure O2 rebreather system scrubbing the CO2, so you could get a ton more time in a lighter, smaller package.
That's actually a technical diving rig (probably a bottom mix on his back too). The two hanging tanks are typically travel mixes or a deco mix to decrease the time of his in water decompression, but it's depth dependent, so it's really irrelevant.

Camel Spider. I caught him In Iraq back in 2005. He's dead in that shot. Had to run after the quick bastard to catch him and step on him. Still didn't kill him till I stuffed him in a Gatorade bottle full of rubbing alcohol. Mailed him home in a CD jewel case. Here he is still alive and kicking in my hooch... Yeah... they get bigger.
