I think that is the case. That is unless they really don’t give a damn
It’s sad but like JHam and others saidI think that is the case.
It’s like pulling teeth getting them to make enough conon accessories like hinges etc
All these gov contract F’s don’t GAF about us
They adopt the HK attitude. “Because we hate you , and you suck”
Yeah I think it’s less malice “let’s make them buy new rifles “In my opinion, they 100% do not give a damn.
Well considering they send guns with bad triggers to major solicitation tests , it could just he incompetence“Let’s ignore those government contracts that keep us afloat and prioritize a few annoyed people at Sniper’s Hide.”

Yes...fortunately damaging a bolt body is virtually impossibleSo they are pretty much saying “screw yall” if you need parts or a spare bolt? That’s the message I’m getting
It's only a problem if you're left-handed. RH people can get parts pretty readily. They sell spare parts in fully assembled kits now. You just have to upgrade to the new model every few years.
At this point, it would take a lot to convince me that this isn't a conscious decision by those in power at AI. I'm certainly glad I own an AI, as it allows me to come in here and participate in the #1s touching that goes on...but I think out of self-preservation, my next purchase will be something I can more easily source spare parts for.
My book, “The Green Meanie,” seems to indicate that AI’s success thus far was based on selling to professional rifle competitors (not me) and government clients (also not me).Well considering they send guns with bad triggers to major solicitation tests , it could just he incompetence
And god forbid they hire a few more machinist or whatever .
Unless...."dreml noises"Yes...fortunately damaging a bolt body is virtually impossible
I don't believe that. It’s sad but like JHam and others said
They don’t give a damn
My AT may be seeking a new home.
I don’t think your wrong at all
If AI is on here, maybe they need to do some explaining and/or own that they are pushing a lot of their customers elsewhere
That is unless they really don’t give a damn
I don't believe that.
LH AI owners are a SMALL group. They have limited machining capability and that is earmarked for production. What EO told me is that AI would require a 50-bolt order. No dealer will do that for the sake of selling a few and being stuck with the rest. Business is business.
My lesson learned is to make sure you buy all the LH spare parts ahead of buying the rifle or with the rifle. That is what I did with the AXSR.
There is a difference between not offering accessories and not repairing a damaged rifle. I am certain that if either of my rifles had an issue that required a new LH part, it would be repaired.IDK.
Part of the deal is that if you make a specific product, people will expect that you support that product. And rightly so.
As a consumer, you shouldn't be punished because AI doesn't want to support a small portion of their own product line. AI makes LH rifles, and they need to provide support for those products. Of course, that doesn't mean they should have just as many LH parts on their shelves as RH parts. But they should dedicate a % of their support to their LH products. And that shouldn't require making a 50 bolt order.
In my opinion, if you don't want to support your LH customers, then don't make LH rifles.
Yes. I bought a new SFP 308 bolt body for one of my AXMCs. It was defective (actually skipped an entire step in the machining process). It was the ONLY one in stock ANYWHERE at the time. I had to send it to AINA. They inspected and called me and said, yep - we'll replace it. I asked how long that might take since no one had them in stock anywhere. They said, don't worry - we keep plenty of stock of parts like this on-hand for repairing customer's rifles. It will ship out today. There is a difference between offering accessories and not repairing a damaged rifle. I am certain that if either of my rifles had an issue that required a new LH part, it would be repaired.
As I said, it is your money and you either understand and play by the rules or buy something else. When I purchase an AXSR, I'll have everything I need.
Im a Marine. We take that as a challengeYes...fortunately damaging a bolt body is virtually impossible
I had no idea that getting parts would be like pulling teeth from an alligator before handI don't believe that.

I am left handed. Once I realized no gun company gives AF about lefts I switched to shooting right handed.Have you tried not being left handed?
Is that why you break mostly everything?I am left handed. Once I realized no gun company gives AF about lefts I switched to shooting right handed.

You using SRP or LRP for the 6 Creed?I wanted an AI, GAP, and Surgeon (old Surgeon) for near 20 years. Unfortunately, I was married to a c*nt at that time who drained my bank account as well as my will to live.
I'm finally at the point where I can relive my 20s as I would have liked...sort of like the old guys who drive Corvettes, but I don't have to wear the jorts and New Balances.
I checked the AI box, and glad I did. However the factory support really opened my eyes. I'm one and done.
Yesterday I got as close to an older Surgeon as I'll find for the price. It's a 2015, 300WM build by Matt Stewart on an older Prague OK action. Matt was one of the guys at Surgeon before the rapid switching of ownership, so it counts (to me). A phone call to Matt (I live by him), and we're going to spin up a few barrels for it so I can switch them here on the ranch. He actually still had the specs on that rifle in his shop. I will probably also swap the stock from the McM A5 to one of Terry Cross' Sentinels (another awesome dude who goes out of his way to help the regular guys).
^ This is why I am glad to give repeat business to certain people/companies.

In keeping up with the purpose of this thread though, I did finalize my 107gr SMK and H4350 load for my 6 CM AT-X barrel yesterday. I beat myself up trying a higher "node", but was stuck in 1/2 - 3/4 MOA-land, so I came back down where I had seen promise before. I just did a quick seating depth test to see where I could load out to and not have to mess with stuff for a while. It held together at 300 yards too, so I'm calling it done.

This barrel really prefers the 108 ELD-M, but I'm sitting on a bunch of the 107 SMKs...so 107s it is.
You have an AT. Why do you want a spare bolt assembly? I could see a spare shroud/firing pin assembly.I had no idea that getting parts would be like pulling teeth from an alligator before hand
That’s my thing. I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of trying to get bolt parts and it’s laughable to say the responses I’ve got
Eurooptic has no known ETA if they’ll ever get a bolt assembly in, and that’s a can’t shame cuz I’d buy one to keep with the rifle (1 is none two is few) because im unlucky and have the ability to break shit.
Hopefully they can see that they’ve left a bunch of people scratching their heads. Love the rifle, hate that I can’t find parts (look at the AW mags too right now).
223 conversations... 6.5 prc conversions.....You have an AT. Why do you want a spare bolt assembly? I could see a spare shroud/firing pin assembly.
You using SRP or LRP for the 6 Creed?
I got a new one here to try out with some factory 108ELdM and also need to get dies so I can work through all the 6.5 brass I have lol
Isn’t 3 better than 1?You have an AT. Why do you want a spare bolt assembly? I could see a spare shroud/firing pin assembly.
Does your AT have thumbhole skins? It’s sad but like JHam and others said
