If you look at the election map, the vast majority of NM is red but the state is controlled by three counties, Dona Ana, Bernalillo and Santa Fe. Biggest employer in those three counties is government. Dona Ana used to be very conservative until all the libs from Ca moved it and turned the county blue. In 2020 the incumbent democrat rep for southern NM lost by 22% but the legislature gerrymandered the district and Republican candidate lost the last two elections. The only bigger POS commie SOS than ours here in NM is Griswold in CO.
New Mexico has always been corrupt but not always stupid but can no longer say the latter is true. They keep electing the same people while expecting a different result.
