And the labor cost to pay someone who really knows what they’re doing as opposed to some monkey who can sort of make a fender straight and flat again. I spent a brief stint as the mechanic in a body shop but got to work with a few guys who were absolutely amazing. They could really work some magic on body panels but they certainly weren’t cheap

About 30 years ago, my Dad gave me one of many life lessons.

Cheap, right, fast. You can only have two of them.

Anyone that is very good at their trade is right and fast. You pay the man.

Yup. It's all about "time." And how much time (which = $$$) a person worth paying a lot can save you. Hopefully they save you more time/$$$ than you are paying them (and, thus, freeing you to have the time to make your own $$$), but...

Two months ago, the water pump on my Cummins was going out. I figured it would take me 6 to 8 hours to swap it out. Instead, I hired a friend that is a mobile mechanic. He came to my shop and took care of it in 3 hours. He charged me $100 an hour. I often make $100 an hour doing what I do. So, the math was easy. I paid him and told him thank you.

Often, you've got to pay a man for what he knows.

Okay, who is missing from the MPT? Let's have a roll call and see who doesn't show up. I know there's more than one chicken fucker in here.

My best SERT Commander, 'Break It Off Billy' who was a Lieutenant On The Line was
the E.R.O. (Employees Relation Officer) The guy that canned your ass if you were a
fuck up always had his response....."WHO'S FUCK'IN THIS CHICKEN!!!"
