Accuracy International Picture Thread

I got 3 brand new bolt assemblies with 1 that would work in a 2015 rifle but not a 2014 rifle without having horrible hang-ups during cycling. The bolts for either rifle would interchange with each other including bolt bodies, firing pin assemblies, or complete bolt assemblies. I'm sure it was a tolerance stacking issue so I asked AINA to simply swap out the bolt assembly that was having issues. They wanted me to ship the 2014 rifle with bolt bolts to them and wouldn't do anything beyond that.

Happily I bought the bolt assemblies from Euro Optic who were more than willing to just swap out the bolt assembly that was having issues with another one which worked perfectly. There was no reason that I should have to send a rifle that works perfectly fine back to AINA when it was an obvious issue with the spare bolt assembly. They could have just swapped it out but nope...not happening.

They also told me that they wouldn't sell lock rings as they're a "service item only" so I had to buy them from Sporting Services UK instead...again for no reason as AINA could have sold them to me but they didn't want to so instead I had to spend more time and many extra dollars to source them from the UK instead. A member on here said I'd never get the lock rings, however, I did despite having no help from AINA.

It is what it is. I'll continue to shoot my existing rifles and after my triggers get here I'm done buying spare parts, however, I won't be buying more of their products in the future. They've jumped their prices way too high in the last few years for me to be able to justify anyway given the shooting that I do nor do I care for their latest rifle designs in general.

Again, I like my rifles but I don't like the company (at least AINA) or their policies.

I’ve had to send my AXSR in to AI, I had it back within two days of mailing it and they were very communicative about the whole thing. I’ve called them and Scott is the guy who answered the phone and gave very detailed answers to my questions.

Yes they aren’t great if you’re trying to buy individual pieces and want them immediately and the demand for their stuff is quite high. However, I have been above and beyond satisfied with my service experience with them.

I guess it may help that I have multiple AI’s so if I have to ship them a gun to look at, I just grab another one to go shoot or hunt things. YMMV.

You’re buying the most durable and I think best supported fleet rifle system. Remember, their primary client is someone who runs it as a system. kinda hard to act surprised when a system gets serviced like a system 🤷‍♂️
My experience has been very similar; and i don’t call places to gauge their service, i am a pretty dry person. If they told me to fuck off i would have probably fucked off and resolve the issue somewhere else. Time is too valuable to dwell on customer experience.

How difficult is it to find the folding mechanism for an AT? Found a non-folder rifle but might want the option.

It's part # is AI-26616 so I'd try MHSA and Euro Optic. If that doesn't work try Sporting Services UK.

I'm not seeing it on the MHSA or EO websites but here's a link to Sporting Services UK (0 in stock but can be ordered) - https://www.sportingservices.co.uk/products/accuracy-international-hinge-assembly-at-26616

MHSA requires payment in full for orders, however, Sporting Services UK only requires 20% down (call them using Google Voice as it's cheap) and they get things faster in my experience so I'd go with them.

First class support right there.

I am going to try to be here more frequently to field any and all questions for the community. I do have an actual job so I may disappear from time to time, but we all shoot here at MHSA...some better than others of course. But we all actually go out and shoot and value the community.
