So how is that Schmidt compared to your NF 7-35?!!!I went from preorder, to cancel, than purchased a different manufacturer of quality scopes and finally I jumped back on team S$B!DT2 w P5 reticle
I had the same issue with mine. S&B offered to take a look at it but EO gave me the option to send it back so I did. They sent out a replacement. Is anyone experiencing a "difficult" transition from the 1st to the 2nd revolution on the elevation turret (DTII+), specifically right where the revolution indicator is being deployed?
I've had mine since last Spring. My range is 1626 yds, and ever since I got it I haven't needed to go to the 2nd revolution - until the weather got cold and now with the low DAs I just now started needing the 2nd revolution (just barely into it). I had not noticed this until now because I haven't had to use it until now.
I've only got experience with the original DT turret (I have 3) and their transition to 2nd revolution (indicators going from white to yellow) is pretty seamless. On the DTII, it gets really stiff to turn around 16.0-16.3, so much so that I can't even feel the clicks in that range. This is using the turret with the MTC function disabled, I haven't tried it with the MTC engaged.

Interesting! I probably did keep some firm down pressure on the top of the turret while I tightened the screws after resetting the Zero. I’ll give it a try.Pull up slightly on the turret as you tighten the set screws. Mine did that when I pushed down on the turret while tightening the set screws.
Perhaps a little bit of resistance would be useful, but this seems far too much, makes it very difficult to dial precisely to a specific setting over a range of about 0.3 mils in the transition range.I assume the resistance felt at the transition to the 2nd rev is a deliberate design feature rather than a defect. It ensures that the shooter is aware they are entering the second revolution, even in low/no-light conditions, where visual confirmation of the revolution indicator might be difficult. Perhaps someone at S&B can confirm?

The P5FL looks perfect. Could you get us some through the scope pictures?I went from preorder, to cancel, than purchased a different manufacturer of quality scopes and finally I jumped back on team S$B!DT2 w P5 reticle

That’s what I dug up after searching a while.
Pull up slightly on the turret as you tighten the set screws. Mine did that when I pushed down on the turret while tightening the set screws.
GENIUS! That's all it needed. I knew I had held a little down pressure on the turret as I tightened the set screws (which I have always done on any scope). So I just now loosened the set screws, eased the turret up the tiniest amount I could feel (not visible - just a few thousandths, to get the pressure off of it), retightened the set screws, and now there is no perceptible feel as the 2nd Rev indicator deploys.
THANKS!
Never had an issue with my DTII+ turrets going into 2nd rev, but great to know about this little trick. Great community here helps save some trips to the warranty deptsGENIUS! That's all it needed. Same in Aus...S&B just had a massive price increase across the range!Maybe I missed something, but why did the 6-36 prices just jump up into the stratosphere?
This scope was $3,300 around Black Friday, then shortly after it went back up to around its normal $3,550… now a $2,000 jump in price out of nowhere? Wtf

The 6-36 is now over AUD $10k!
I will throw a cat amongst the pigeons.... Consider the DNT 7-35..... I have several and honestly they defy their price tag !!!I’m now for realz that I’d sell mine, if anyone wants a like new 6-36 with P5FL with DT2+ turrets shoot me a PM. I’ll cut a solid deal. It’s time I went back to an ATACR 7-35.

636 TR2ID + DTII turrets is still reasonably priced at scopelist. Can’t seem to get the link to populate, so will just paste it directly.
Oh yeah for sure, I didn’t mean trying to rip anybody off on here. Now if I list it up on gunbroker or something then yeah, I’ll let some folks bid on it as high up as they wanna go.The thing is that almost everyone knows they were $3.3k (sometimes closer to $3k with a wire transfer payment instead of credit card) so you know, that's the price folks remember and are targeting...
But you might find someone who never kept up with the price drops.
Me, I'm the cheapskate reprobate bastard who'd be like wanting to pay 3k or such crazyness.
Which is funny because Scopelist and EuroOptic are essentially the same company in the end.

I’d still sell down around the middle 3s range if anyone was interested.
I prolly shouldn’t even consider selling as it’s been my favorite optic to date, but fuck Schmidt for doing this nonsense. I prolly won’t be buying anymore of their scopes from here on out.
Good findhere it is... it wasn't in with the 6-36x ones. It was at the bottom with the suggestions

Scott
Totally feel that.I was a big fan of S&B scopes for a long time and have a whole bunch of them still.
But when they changed and made EO the sole USA distributor and jacked the prices way up...
Well that's when March and ZCO and others started showing up in my closet.
From time to time, I'll still buy an S&B scope from time to time, when someone has the P4FL and CW turrents that nobody seems to like and they are willing to sell it for super cheap.
Also the optics clarity on the 5-45 and 12-50 is still very competitive even if the reticles aren't what folks want and the turrents are quite old style.
For that price, I'll buy another TT 5-25/JTAC or save $1,000 and buy another ZCO 5-27Yea man that's stupid about to pull the 525 I just listed off the px and just keep it
idk man. I've heard from the pipeline and a few dealers that TTs are going through some serious issues with the erector housings. For that price, I'll buy another TT 5-25/JTAC or save $1,000 and buy another ZCO 5-27
My TT is spot-on but I bought it 18 months agoidk man. I've heard from the pipeline and a few dealers that TTs are going through some serious issues with the erector housings.
At the same time you'd have to be nuts to pay schmidt prices now.
That's what I've seen with SB pricing - up/down/up/down. Wait it out, they'll come down again when no one is buying.they have raised the prices to help cover the cost of the lawsuit with Swarovski when they ship the full FOV models to the USA next month ...
Early April fool's. But seriously guys, for those of us who’ve been around long enough this is really nothing new, S&B has been toying with the American market and pricing for years, up and down, up and down. They often test the market with these kinds of things and prove they don’t really have a clue about the US market.
