Heat is heat. I've actually found cooking on my electric stove boils water faster and cooks faster because more heated surface area contacts the pan vs a circular ring of flame.So do I. I have hers, and I have one I bought brand new from a local hardware store just after I graduated college. Still not properly seasoned. Both sit and collect dust in my oven's storage box. Part of the problem I think is I no longer have gas for cooking. It's electric "glass" burners. And I sure don't have wood burning, either. Hard to season a skillet properly on an electric burner.

Oil it first, then put in oven. In order to be "seasoned" you'll have to perform this oil-heat-cool cycle 3-4 times, or more. I recently did a carbon steel pan, but did it on the stove. Took a while and created a lot of smoke.

These are addictive. 25 yards 10 shots shoot for 90 or better I was never much of a pistol shooter.
The only time I really enjoy shooting handguns is when I take my kids out shooting. My youngest daughter is deadly with my S&W 52. I got my son an AMT Hardballer Longslide that he loves to shoot.
