i am technically a boomer

Same, maybe slightly earlier. Parents from the Greatest and the Silent, grandparents from the Lost and a little before. I've known people who were airheads or worthless in every one of those generations but the airheadedness and worthlessness seems to be more common each gen, maybe just because more of them survive.

Perhaps, but at what cost? Several millions in either repaired or new apparati? They don't have enough working rigs as it is....
I spent my entire 4 1/2 year enlistment using portable fire pumps (P-250) and all you have to do is wash any pump off with fresh water and they will be fine. Even water pumps never intended for saltwater use corrosion resistant coatings. Even if all pumps didn’t have corrosion resistant coatings are we really going to let the city burn to save a few pumps?

Literally everyone I know was “belt trained”. That’s the gen x problem they don’t really know they just state everything as fact because it sounds better. Yeah I’m sure there are pockets of whatever, but people in the south love spanking there kids.
"Belt trained"?
If you didn't have to go cut your own switch from the willow tree and have some welts afterwards, worse if your original switch wasn't thick enough and were sent back to find a more suitable switch, you were spoiled.

Am I gonna need to post some pics of skinny, titless bitches to get this thread back on track?
Hmmmm, hmmmm?

They weren't dropping sea water in CA. There is a hilltop fire fighting helicopter pad right in the fire zone with numerous dip tanks. They were going in and out of there like bees at a hive. I watched it on Alert California live cams for a while.

You missed the Canadian sea planes, one of which took a hit from a drone? They drop 1500 gallons every 10-12 minutes, and are dipping from the ocean. Also this isn’t a one stop affair. Some lakes and reservoirs have water, even pools are being dipped.

Well, I don't have any. Can you hep uh brutha out?

My threat was a empty as my bourbon glass
I can help but it won’t be skinny girls with eating disorders and mental illness(but I repeat myself). It’ll be gym hoes with some body dysmorphia. Actually, this girl isn’t a hoe. She trained at the same gym as me a long time ago. I had a pretty strong crush on her. This pic is from contest prep when she won her pro card

The child does have their feet on the back of the seat. So it's a "fair tax". Especially if the child is not moving them in a fashion to similate a massage and just pushing to be annoying
Nah, there’s a tax just for carting them all over creation to do shit

lol

no, we're just different, built tougher and far less play in between the seconds
You aren’t though. You’re different than what you imagine a millennial is, but a huge amount of us grew up and were raised just like you….you just have no idea. I mostly hang around gen x people, no difference between us. Lots of millennials it’s the same shit.

People just run their mouths constantly

Well, I wouldn't. But I'm not in charge. Considering who is... well.....

Additionally, there is the logistical issue of getting the seawater to those pumpers efficiently. I don't know how close the fires actually are to the coast line, so there will be some transport from the coast line to where the engines/pumper pools are located. Do they have enough tankers to accomplish the task? Or enough areal drops?

lol, my mom used to make my older sisters fetch something to beat me with. 🤣
my sisters were sympathetic (well, one of them was), but if what they brought to my mom broke before seeming to elicit the proper response, they could also be in trouble.
whatever happened, the real beating didn't happen until dad got home. :p

I was quoting him, the same thing you said happened to me and most everyone I knew growing. Again, you have no clue you just keep assuming lol

I think the real punishment was the psychological impact of cutting the branch you were about to be disciplined with, knowing that discipline involved instant pain and often pain that would be felt for a few more days. If I went to school with "stripes", my friends would all laugh and the teachers would ask if I had learned anything.
I always lied and said, "yes".
Fast forward to the days I was a school teacher. If I saw a kid with "stripes" I was supposed to report it to the child agencies. Thing is, I did see stripes a few times, but only on the most polite and productive kids. They are the kids who had parents actually show up at the conferences. The shit head kids had shit head parent(s) and even when they did show up, it was to blame the teachers for their inadequate parenting skills.

Mike, Mike, Mike....when I was saying "you", it wasn't directed at YOU. You are too self absorbed.
Nope, I understand how you can be used as a general term but I’m part of the conversation. You’re saying belts aren’t shit…switches(pretty much go the sake of the argument). We also experienced the same treatment as millennials. I’m pointing out it wasn’t a just “you” punishment.

You(singular) decided to read into it however you wanted.

ah, you had it a lot "worse" than me. my mom could never really whoop me proper, but i learned to "behave" pretty quick from my dad.
the only thing i ever got beaten more than once for was fighting, and even then it wasn't for fighting as much as getting my mom upset because somebody else's mom came to our door to tell on me. :p

Well, look back there...YOU said "you have no clue you just keep assuming"...those "you"'s were not a generalization. I took it as YOU posted it. If YOU want to atone, go cut a switch for some self flagellation.:LOL:

Yes I was talking to you the singular about me and the age GROUP I’m in, that isn’t me being self absorbed that’s addressing you. You seem to be the one confused I can read your post and know “you” is the plural group version while also responding to you alone…since you alone typed it. This isn’t rocket science.

Self absorbed would be acting as though I’m the only one experiencing something…which I am doing the opposite of.

What are we switching to next?

Yeah...my mom could put on a whooping. She had to. I had 3 little brothers and my dad was KIA Vietnam when I was 8. But the absolute worst was when we were with some extended family. 8 boys within 3 years of each other. Some were actually a generation older. My great uncles could put on a whooping and then make you sit against a wall or a tree until your legs gave out. We usually didn't make that mistake again.
As far as fighting went, my mother never got on to me for fighting. She even defended me at school many times. I never threw the first punch (at school) and was "only defending myself", even when my 6th grade buddy had to be taken to the hospital via ambulance after he punched me for "tackling" him during flag football in PE. Of course, I was still not allowed to go back to that school for the rest of the year and she had to drive me to another school for about a month. That guy and I were close friends for the next 15 or so years before he was killed logging. His mom always hated me but his dad was always real good to me. He had a Freedom Arms 454 Casull I lusted for.

See...in my original post that we are still discussing, even there, the "you" is not even directed at any generation. Come on man...get with the program.

It was a response to my post, so I replied back that we also had the same treatment

You quoted me, I didn’t come in third party guns blazing lol. I quoted lbc because he said belt broke, there was no reason for me to bring up switches…then you come in saying what boils down to “you think that’s bad….”, and I replied about a whole group.

But that’s somehow self absorbed
