I'm not a military expert. But it feels to me that Russian offensive to the north of Odessa will make practicall sense for two major reasons.
1. Cut Odessa off, means exclude it from being a major supply hub to ukes. Russians will not attack Odessa directly, it will fall by itself.
2. Connect with Transnistria to relief it from being "choked" by the enemy.

Capturing Odessa would be quite the undertaking. There are a lot of natural obstacles that Russia would have to cross to get the needed assets in place. Anyone know what Russia’s maritime & amphibious capabilities in the area look like?

They might continue to push North seeing as they recently seized some KT that could enable that COA, maybe. Does Russia have the capabilities in place to exploit that success?

Kursk adventure is such a strategic failure for ukraine, it's insane that they keep trying.
