That's a lot of butt spacers... 60mm?
Yup!

It’s funny. Anytime I post a pic in my gun room or my yard the first comments I get are the spacers on the butt or my well groomed lawn 😁

I have a 15.5” LOP

Loading some 308 ammo for the OG green one tomorrow. The brown is a 260 Rem with a bolt converted to WSM at black canyon customs. Waiting on a HV barrel for 300 WSM. Can get a M24 contour now but hoping to get the added weight and 5” shank at 1.25”. Planning on a 24” 300 WSM and 28” 260 setup

Here are the 1:12 results, and for verification I shot the 185s out of my 20" 1:10t AI barrel and use 3 other types of Ammo. I wanted to reshoot the 185s in the A5 but was a little tight on time and the shop closed before I could get back in to buy another box. May update this again if I do.

Also did my next step in load Dev on the 16.25" 6.5creed with 140 eldms. Got a nice node from 40.5-40.8. Seems I can over/ under shoot and never skip a beat here. Also zeroed the 6x47 load and got my dope for a April 5th match I plan to shoot it in (finally).

Alright, I'm doing another round of invites to the Accuracy International Fan Club Discord Server.

Its a nice way to talk to each other in real-time in different channels and categories, and even have voice/video group hangouts.
The link will be valid for 7 days. Click the link and it'll get you set up: https://discord.gg/HQK93ZRt
Not a fan of links into links. Is this good stuff? Does this link take you to what you are referring too? Don’t want to go surfing. Thanks

If you don't know what Discord is, have never touched it, and don't want to use an app, then, don't click it. It is not a webpage.

Those who know and understand what Discord is, understand the format of the link: yes, it takes you directly to the server. But, yes, you will need to install Discord on your computer or mobile device to use and access it, not unlike using Instagram or anything else.

I'll have to try those out of my 1:10 twist barrel.

I have an opportunity to buy a lot of 42 AI 308 5 round mags from a friend who bought a whole store that was going out of business. They are AI brand mags.

What would be the price (per mag) at which these would move easily? That will help me determine how much to offer him for the lot.

Thanks.

Has anyone messed around with alternative cheek rests for the AXSR?

I can never get an upright head position, unless I lower the cheek rest all the way, and shift it over, which then becomes an issue for running the bolt. I have my rest lowered all the way now, and while its manageable for a few hours a day behind the gun, but all day on the range, its an issue.

I just tried the KRG Overmold cheek piece, but the bolt spacing is about 1/8" off. Im curious about the Anarchy Outdoors AX cheek piece, but not sure if its any different than the standard AXSR, other than lower profile. Not to mention the bolt spacing being compatible.

The Anarchy AX cheekpiece won't work on the AXSR, sorry

If they are AICS 5-round mags, they go for $62 new.

Seems to be around $50-$55 a mag shipped in the px after a quick search.

I guess this is still an AI thread.

Ideal I think , to normal distances , would be xii on rifle. And someone with ReconV calling corrections.

Recon was phenomenal

Had the AXSR out to 2000 and 2600 yesterday. Had some close misses on my targets at 2600, but the combination of the 12-18mph incoming winds and my standard ipsc steel was not helping at that distance. Mostly let me try out the Nightforce prism and verify some elevation numbers.

Lots of hits at 2000yds. Also, Hornady hit indicators are pretty great

Man, this sux, looking at the rifles posted. Just had a hernia that came out of nowhere…had surgery last week.

Since I am forbidden to lift more than 15lbs for 4-6 weeks, I can’t even take my damn 20lbs AI out of the safe! 😢

Looks like only the super lightweights are going to the range with me. Hello Mr. Kidd and Mrs. T-bolt 17hmr!

I feel for ya. I am having labrum surgery on my strong side shoulder in May. I'll be down for up to six months but most certainly the first three. Not looking forward to not being able to shoot or fly but the silver lining is that it's hotter than hell down here during the summer so I won't be missing much lol.

Be well soon! Might be fun to shoot small calibers for a while, practice is practice, doesnt matter which caliber.

Yep, thx man. Thx for the encouragement!

I actually really like small calibers, but when someone (or your body) says, “Nope, you cannot do that,” that’s what chaps your arse grrrrr.
