Had a conversation with a long time friend in PDX yesterday (we've both known lots of folks who worked for Nike). We were talking about their corp culture and running people like dogs while blowing smoke up their ass about how lucky they are to work for Nike. For those that have never seen it - Nike HQ is like many other Corp Campuses in the middle of a metro area - isolated. That isolation extends to how one breaks through the ranks and earns real cash. The result is an idealogical purge. My understanding is that there are a lot of listening devices around. That level of zap on the head then extends itself into politics in PDX / OR.
Why is this POS still living? I tell you that we need to fire up a volunteer group to handle these matters.
