I did a thing. It only kind of sucks. But, for those who want to "see shooting" well, here you go, as I decided to spend the day recording my true'ing my Federal T308T 168gr .308. Like, comment, subscribe, complain, give me shit, whatever...

I found this video very difficult to watch...

Mostly because I'm at the clinic and have to keep my pants up...

Good job in all honesty though!

I had to turn it off when I saw the Leupold.

TLDW

Too much Leupold didn’t watch. 😂

Great shooting man

I’ll comment on the videos

The AI video was decent. Very nice shooting!

The video you sent me in the pm could use some steadier camera work….oh and quit using the word “spank” so much.

😎👍

Pretty sure you have me mixed up with someone else. I didn't send you anything.

More shooting videos for you muppets because y'all want to see more shooting.

This was recorded in September 2024 while trying to find ammo that the Lothar-Walther 1:12 twist 20" barrel actually liked, and shows the groups at 100 and 300 yards, while I was also still trying to get comfortable behind the Accuracy International AT308 itself. Its some interesting data, and a clean day of shooting. Just only now deciding to make a full edited video of it.

I actually started making videos of myself shooting so I could critique my own skills (nunchuk skills, bowstaff skills etc...). Not having anyone around makes it amazingly easy to start degrading my own fundamentals. Sure enough, I don't like my trigger manipulation a lot of the time. The targets show reasonable proficiency... but I know from watching myself that I am leaving some consistency on the table.

The internet has me jaded. I read into that "nun-cuck" of yours and assumed you were going to link a video of some porn crap...

I laughed myself to tears to that ^ video ^ back in about 2009. Probably watched it 20 times in a row.
what’s especially great about that vid is his little overconfident ”huff” right before the backflip lol

Y'all spend more time sharing memes and jokes than sharing rifles and shot groups. Pretty sure there's a place on Reddit for y'all. r/memes or something...

Awfully big words coming from the Wish.com version of Pat McNamara :ROFLMAO:...

Thanks, but I choose to roast you right here.

Why does your face on your thumbnail look like you are having constipation issues?

Now I am curious as to why?

I'm guessing that it is because of a probable balance issue, along with the higher potential for POI walk as you heat things up under a longer string of fire.

Not that you can't, and I know that a couple guys run those with great success in order to make various weight classes... but I think they're doing it with AT-X platforms.

Today I got off my belly and worked barricades and tripods. And, shot many oranges and apples on pikes.

It could be better. I think I spent too long shooting. Fatigue sets in fast after 3.5 hours of shooting.

It's not my best. Lessons were learned. Got advice from an currently serving Army Sniper Instructor on both barricade and tripod shooting which helped.

But, I need better DOPE. Shooting apples and oranges at 225 yards? No problem. 302 yards? I struggled and am still studying why... Will try again another day. Will share when I got better answers.
How are you currently getting your data? Maybe instead of shooting fruit, put some paper out there and see what's going on?

I really don't think the difference in zeroing at 100 vs 102 yards is going to make a difference on your dope. like, i don't think it's measurable. even if you were shooting in the teens
It made a difference for me. And the video showed it. Once I dialed down 0.1mil, which is just a smidge below my POA, it put me back on track where all my DOPE lined up. It just goes to show how important it is to have your rifle zeroed. I'd have been better off shooting a smaller dot at 100 yards to zero i.e. picking a grid cross to aim at instead.

I'll be making more videos on all of this.

Anyone know if dependabilt forend AT-X weights will work on a axsr? Without impeding with the bottom arca rail?

You'd probably need to turn them upside down to make them work and they'd probably look kinda weird (if that matters). Most of the ATX weights ride low to add surface area for barricade shooting.

You could always look at the factory AXSR WinTac weights.
