Now I am curious as to why?
As stated they walk... Great for a light weight low volume firing. Plus i have had to send a couple back for atrocious factory chamber jobs

Thanks.. Yea I figured. So I went with the Win tac weights. You'd probably need to turn them upside down to make them work and they'd probably look kinda weird (if that matters). Most of the ATX weights ride low to add surface area for barricade shooting.
You could always look at the factory AXSR WinTac weights.
My straight contour 6.5 doesnt walk. But then again, it's a fat ass 1.200 all the way. And the 300NM prefit I got was chambered too tight and throat was too short. It would hit pressure with any load I give it. They wouldn't fix it. Had to beg a local smith to recut the freebore. Friend had a 6.5 steel barrel shoot perfect, but I have read so many stories lately about the prefits I wouldn't buy another. As stated they walk... Great for a light weight low volume firing. Yeah, plugging that into strelok says there is a .02 mil/ .072" difference. That's not your issue.I really don't think the difference in zeroing at 100 vs 102 yards is going to make a difference on your dope. like, i don't think it's measurable. even if you were shooting in the teens
If you guys watch the video, I say what it is at the end: my zero was off. Shooter error. Its not worth overthinking. Just enjoy the content.Yeah, plugging that into strelok says there is a .02 mil/ .072" difference. That's not your issue.
I like that pic, man. It’s like a tan landshark in the shallows…hunting…Zeroing at 102yds versus 100yds makes no difference at 300yds according to my 4DOF data (1.12 vs 1.12, not even a hundredth).
I never zero super well anyway and I haven’t seen the issues you described in the video, Imo you’re shooting at small targets and you’re going to miss a couple. You mention there was also shooter error, I took the video as presenting the zero issue as the primary reason for missing and the shooter error as a contributing factor, only you know what really went on that day.
Edited to add: I did watch the entire video and enjoyed it, always nice to see AIs getting some love with good production value. This post to try to help you on your journey, not rip on you, you should’ve seen the stuff I’d obsess over before I just started shooting more long range!
Pics for the pic thread, was experimenting with Norma 168gn .308 at my buddy’s farm, it did great View attachment 8703784
Honestly don’t understand this. I could be way out of the loop but I’ve had 4 barrels from Proof, 3 prefit and one chambered by Dave Tooley and all 4 of them hammered period. I didn’t see anything walk with long strings and long strings of fire is my middle name.Don't do it
It's a proof 18.5What barrel length is this? 18? 18.5? 20? Thanks

308Hell yes brother that is awesome. What’s she chambered in?
Interesting. I trust what proof sent me, I never did measure it myselfThat seems longer then a 18.5 Here is mine with a 18.5" 308 and the MLOK rail.

So many savages shooting unsupressed. How unbecoming of them. So ungentleman like. I really want to get into doing things like this. I just need to start. Never been to a match.
Seems like the hard way. How many MOA (he means Mils guys) is your scope mount? Those ERA ones went to like 60-70 or something stupid. To me 20 on the rail plus 20-40 on the mount should be more than enough.Hey guys, has anyone converted an AXSR to 30moa top rail? I need some more height in my scope and was thinking that could be a way as I dont want to change my scope mount.
It's more about height right now. I've got 40 mil of travel from my zero. But im beginning to see my suppressor in my scope.Seems like the hard way. Congrats on an awesome shooting/looking rifle. Got any details on who did the cerakote work?
Never woulda happened with a thumbholeWell, I leaned my AI against the counter and it slid to the floor.
And...
Rapid disassembly. Never seen this before.

Better to find out at home than when you are in a situation where you have to quickly transition from butt stroking an enemy cranium to shooting 2 MOA targets at 1,000 yards.Well, I leaned my AI against the counter and it slid to the floor.

Aw shit! The MRAD guys will be all over this soon!Well, I leaned my AI against the counter and it slid to the floor.

Did it slam into something on the way down? I'm having a hard time imagining how that spot took force like that, but maybe there was already a crack or fault there.Well, I leaned my AI against the counter and it slid to the floor.

Rapid disassembly. Never seen this before.

Had the same exact thought.Someone makes a fake hinge for the AI? Seems like a really odd item to make a fake of. Didn't know there was such a market for such a small niche item.
Never woulda happened with a thumbhole
Is it a real thumbhole? He can always become a convert.
