Nope...should be able to clamp without problem.

The maverick 41 awsm configuration features a very nice bubble level. Any idea if this can be purchased anywhere?
It’s the L115A4 spec. Sporting Services sells the correct picatinny rail for it, but I don’t think the spirit level is even included, so it’s just a bare rail with a slot at the back for a level.

Edit. I can’t find it anymore.

Any ideas on which mount was used for the L118 A2?

Is this the correct rail?

No. You want to look for a quick release scope mount with the single lever on the side.

The side rail needs to be the short one, but the correct one hasn’t been made in years. It has square ends i.e. isn’t rounded like most of the ones you see on the market.

The A2 on Forgotten Weapons and Steve Houghton’s book isn’t even real or correct.

No idea on the spec, but it’s this you want with the single lever.

If you want a good L118 clone, go for an A1 than an A2. What everyone thinks is an “A2” is nothing like an A2. If anything, it’s an unofficial upgrade a few rifles got.

Guys,

Trying to change to a harris bipod swivel mount. All i find is this...what do i have to do in order to mount the new one🤔

That looks like a roll pin. Take a pin punch the same diameter as the roll pin and punch it out just enough to remove the old swivel mount . Slide the new mount in and align it so the roll pin will go back through. Use brass or other soft hammer to punch roll pin back in from other side.

Done.

Thought so too but asking first doesnt harm👍🏻
7 axis dremel will do i assume🤣
I had to drive mine out on my AT for swapping the spigot

Just from my experience I’d use a roll pin punch. If you use a regular punch make sure it’s as close as you can get in OD size. Roll pins damage easily if you use improper sized punches

Now you just need a front NV bracket. The L115A3s have been seen with basically every variation of them. The 45’ STIC one is the most common. There is an inline one too which I briefly had.
I have some imuns ready to mount. Are those fine? Actually i need to be able to use night vision with the mount, hence i am not sure if the 45° one would even work with a NSV600.

AW covert project. I found the suitcase several years ago. Finally got around to SBR this AW .308. Next is to cut down the barrel to 12.1", paint, and have a suppressor made.View attachment 8723393View attachment 8723394
Interesting, I thought the AW Covert case was a Samsonite. The PM Coverts used Delsey suitcases. I have the drawing for an original covert barrel. I will PM you later in case you need help.

I believe the AW Coverts technically had a fixed cheekpiece. I used to have a chassis like it, although I think it was really just an AWP-F in a basic configuration for police.
