I used to listen to NPR almost exclusively. Until about 2010 when they went full retard. PBS, I still like NOVA, Secrets of the Dead, American Experience... though most of those are now junk science, junk archaeology and worthless junk revisionist history. Notice how their 'experts' are a rainbow of DEI BS... NOT the best scientists in any field. "Let's find a chick who can talk science... oh and a gay transvestite dinosaur-talkinig guy"

As for the amount of federal funding? Drop in the bucket. It won't affect their operations ONE BIT! They will make up for it with donation drives and all the Volvo-driving lefties will buy more mugs and pledge teir $20 dollars... Plus now they are no longer restricted from selling advertising. So Public Broadcasting's shareholders are about to become really, really, really a lot richer than they are now. And they are really rich.

The point of it is that OUR money is not going to these commie pieces of shit to be used against us. Now the money of commie pieces of shit will be used against us. Which is fine. I am all for that. Public Broadcasting has as much right to be on the air as Breitbart, NewsMax or Alex Jones (who the commies are trying to destroy... using Public Broadcasting!)

As for USAID... it was 5 percent helping LBP's. It was 95 percent graft funneling RIGHT back to the USA leftist movement in huge salaries for the socialist contractors... and their huge political contributions, 100 percent to the left.

We can keep doing good things for LBP's with small state department programs, Civil Affairs and Special Forces putting roofs on schools and digging wells while teaching other skills and being a force multiplier for good. That's what they were created for in the first place.

So this news MAKES MY DAY! Along with sugar in Coke! And let's use some DOGE savings to appoint an Epstein Special Prosecutor! I like it! I would disagree... public funding started in the 1960's and much of it was aimed at providing educational content in rural areas and places where there was literally a wasteland of quality content. And in the beginning, Public Broadcasting was some amazing quality content.

But starting almost immediately in the 1970's, it was infiltrated by leftists who turned the whole thing into a propaganda outlet. They recognized from the get-go that control of childrens content and 'science' content would let them push their agendas and brainwash generations. The gays, the communists, the activist rejects from mainstream journalism found a home for their propaganda. And got really well paid for it.

As with many things (including USAID) it started with the noblest of intentions. And was hijacked by forces of evil. If USAID was digging wells, putting roofs on schools and distributing bags of food with USA on them... they'd be a national asset. But instead, they turned into a slush fund for leftist BS. AND a giant money laundering operation. So, kill it. Done. Just sad that it took so long to find someone willing to kill it. For decades now, USAID has done untold damage to the US's foreign AND domestic policy. You think LBP's like leftist Americans coming into their Muslim villages and using pointy-talky's to show the kids how to engage in anal sex? And if USAID was at all effective, with the amount of money spent on it, the third world would be a paradise of success, not a starving shithole. Still.

Educational entertainment is not a function of the federal government, not in the beginning, the middle, and still not now. The emergency broadcast system is, news and education is not. If there were areas unserved by radio, that could be handled by an interest free government loan to a business interested in serving that area. AM radio goes a long damn way, I’m listening to a station over 100 miles away right now. Funding the content is not and never has been the government’s business or function.

Same goes for funding broadband, it’s a con job. I have no fiber, cable or phone lines at my house. I still have 350Mb bandwidth. If the customer base exists, the companies will show up but there are still cost effective alternatives otherwise.

The sad part is that Public Broadcasting 'could' be a great, balanced and truly high-quality-content station that plays stuff that is not 'economical' when the same air time can be used for Snookie and Drag Queen Races that are disgustingly corrupting to our nation. Nova, American Experience and Nature... Cosmos (the original, not the bad black science man one), great productions done over the years. Could be a national treasure. Instead it is commie propaganda and massive grooming. So fuck them!
