MRGG- NOW IN STOCK

Yeah, Giessele doesn't list the weight either. That price tag...
I agree, even if you could use their 35% off shot coupon it’s still a hefty couple stacks. I’m sure it’s a shooter and one day I’d love to own one but not in this economy 😂

Side note: Seems like their new thing is to introduce the new big updated products at a steep initial price for a few years. Then introduce slight tweak and bring the price down a bit. See 6 arc mags and the GFR mod 1 vs the original GFR pricing.

I don’t have the specific weight, but it’s light. Very noticeably lighter than a GA or Seekins SP10

This barrel profile, while maintaining the SOCOM accuracy requirement is a big deal. Especially for military or night shooters who will add silencers, clip ons, lasers, etc. up front.

Plenty of guys pay this much (street price is just over 6k) for KAC rifles all the time, and this beat KAC… Yes, I’m aware of why/how KAC dropped out, but the point still stands, and there’s absolutely no guarantee they would have won if that didn’t happen (they’ve lost others fair and square).

I don’t love the price, but why is 6k ok for KAC and not for the rifle that beat KAC (and everyone else)?

Have never seen any AR small or large frame shoot this accurate with this high of round counts before. These guns are worth every penny of $6k. I have seen a ton of rounds shot through them at competition and have a little time on one. They are spectacular.

KAC was always bleeding edge of tech. People pay for features that in 5-10 years become standard for everyone else. This rifle is the bleeding edge of AR tech right now. That's why it's worth it. You are getting something you can't get anywhere else and in time will probably change the landscape of ARs. Ironically they are doing something similar with their small frame GFR guns.

Hey! We agreed on something!!! 😀

I totally agree… assuming the performance demonstrated in the military testing isn’t invalidated (like the Sig pistols), I don’t regret the purcha$e in the slightest.

I’ve decked this thing out to the 9s, and the weight still seems reasonable. I’ll be testing a few things before giving my settled opinion. In the meantime, any insight info you can provide from your observations is appreciated.

Doubt you will get much info. Proprietary trade secrets and a bunch of tech baked into these guns. Plus manufacturing trade secrets.

I am sure stuff will trickle out eventually as people tear these down to inspect them and do destructive/ non destructive testing on components.

Just my uneducated observation/opinion.

I don’t have a scale that would work for that, but it’s definitely lighter than Seekins, GA Precision, etc.

That was the first comment my FFL made, that he couldn’t believe how light it was compared to the competition.

The barrel profile appears too thin to accomplish what it does. The gun is “nose light” until you get some accessories on the front (silencer and bipod).

I suspect the difference between this and an SP10 in actual lbs won’t be huge, but it doesn’t take a lot to shift the perception from “bench gun” to “field gun”, especially if the weight is taken out of the right places.
