Suspect in custody but not identified?

FBI involved… why is the FBI involved in a local incident?

Hummmm… maybe it has something to do with who’s doing the stabbing!

You know… what is being reported as a “random incident.”

Those random mass-stabbing incidents that have been going on for years in Germany, France and Sweden, etc. also all have one unsurprisingly un-random element at their center…. What could that be….??

Could it be….

Nah…. They are the religion of peace!!

Nothing to see here… move along.

The pics of the suspect on the 'net appear to show a democrat looking guy with a hippy style/Mao style hat and a grungy look- like a Pantifa type.

There was "citizen involvement" in the incident in helping stop the suspect's "random" stabbings and in treating the victims, Shea said.

I'm still awaiting more information on this. Did someone walk into the store and announce that they had a holstered P320, or was it a bit more kinetic?

Anyways, Traverse City is less than a full tank's drive from Dearborn, but there are more obvious and convenient places for a terrorist attack. (Not to mention that I'd expect more than going stabby-stabby with a small pocket knife.) Occam's Razor suggests something less interesting, just like the church shooting about a month ago where the suspect wasn't immediately identified and turned it to be just a local loser.

Pat I'll take Stupid Questions for $500 .
What is " Why do you need a gun " ?

Not gonna lie - I can get pretty lazy this time of the year by zipping to the grocery store in a tank-top and running shorts with maybe a Benchmade folder clipped into the pocket in car I need to help out any damsels in distress who are being attacked by a coupon that they can't clip. It's probably long overdue to change that habit.

For those not familiar with Michigan's tourist destinations, TC is about the least likely area possible for encountering random violence (unless you consider driving in the left lane at 10 under the limit as "violence", which maybe you should). So the saying "if it could happen here, it could happen anywhere" is about as true as it gets. This is legitimately the sort of thing that should cause someone to pause and think.

This was not to far from my AO; a store I’ve been in countless times to get camping / hunting / food supplies as this is the only larger city within driving distance of our property / cabin/ hunting lease .

When news first broke on this yesterday it mentioned gun fire and possible explosion.

And it is strange the fbi is so involved before the wounded were taken away.

The “suspect” has that open mouth , tongue to big For mouth droopy eye look common in another MI city known for good hams and sausages. Though those I speak of don’t imbibe the flesh of the pig .

Highly recommend S&W model 37 for summer carry if your a shorts and t-shirt person.
That’s my brothers choice , I’ve been very pleased with size weight capacity ability to shoot well and easy carry of the 43x and clones .

Side bar and I’m well prepared to be flamed - but the PSA micro 15 round mags have worked much better for me with no gun modifications then the Shield Arms 15 round abomination ever did .
We have 6-7 that have worked perfectly in several training classes and idpa matches .
Once again Glock slow to the party and refusing to admit that the 10 rounders lose their luster when a same prices competitor makes a 15 .

What is the “Shield Arms 15 fiasco” you speak of? I run these in my 43x without issue. Though I did buy and install a steel mag release for them, which I recommend.

My oldest daughter did that to her 43x and loves it. Said she even preferred shooting iron sights vs the red dot

She has recently migrated to a sig 365xl comp though. She said it fit her hands better. So who am I to argue

Well I may have not said it correctly- I didn’t have good luck with the Shield mags - and they are expensive relatively and the metal mag release/ catch was another expense- not great just seemed like a three step solution that was completely rendered unnecessary when the micro dagger mags hit .

Sure one can find bad reviews on them- that or those particular mags or those mags and that particular gun combo just like me and my Shield experience.
But you’ll find a more good reviews on them and at the price especially on blems or even the none blems like $200 for a 10 pack - I thought it a better solution.

But I regret sidetracking this mass attack that happened on my home turf .

The Shield Arms magazines are notorious for the springs going bad over time. I’ve experienced this with the Gen 1s, I bought a couple when they originally came out and they worked great. Haven’t shot them for a couple of years and left them loaded with defensive ammo. Recently went to the range and unloaded them to shoot practice ammo and the rounds almost fell out the spring tension was so bad. Tried one mag full of range ammo and had two failures to feed.

I just picked up a couple of Gen 3s for a good price but have read bad things about them as well. I’m going to try some micro Dagger mags but really can’t trust the S15s for carry at this time. Maybe if I could find a better replacement spring?
