Hello. I bought 2 of these from Sam's Club. I didn't like the rubber wood finish so I redid them myself and coated in Total Boat table top epoxy. I'm uncertain to keep them gloss. It sort of looks too plastic for my tastes. I've always gone matte or flat on all my wood work. Curious on your thoughts? Thanks guys, and link to tables. Good value for the price!

What's the light system you have in your garage?

Looks great. I'd leave it glossy. If it gets scratched up later you can always sand if to be matte.

I poured total boat epoxy on my garage workbench and my handy work is crude compared to that. The first time I tried most of the epoxy ended up on the floor. The second attempt was "functional" but not great looking.

I think it looks great, you did a nice job, but

Over time, it’s going to scratch up a bit. So, I would buff it a bit. Your choice, I like it the way it is, but ole worry wart here, who used to be an optimist, but then we elected barac and then we elected hiden biden and now I’m nothing but a pessimist.

Sincerely, it would probably be best buffed. Especially if you have a tendency to loose tiny parts, the buff will make it much easier to find them.
