What did their e-mail response actually say?
That they wouldn't follow up to explain what the tag line "or if we can help with touch up" meant 48 hours later.
I'll say it again. If you're charging $100 for a grip, it is a luxury item. I measured the Aero lower against a Noveske, SOLGW and AAC. All within .001". There is no good excuse for making a grip that a standard mil spec safety can't clear on a standard mil spec lower without gouging that requires refitting and completely clearing the finish on a "handmade Italian blah blah blah". I hope they write back with an offer to refinish or send the right color oil or whatever.
I've bought several Smoke Composite carbon grips. Some of my friends think I'm crazy to spend that on a grip.
I think I interface with the trigger, optic, stock and grip every shot and I'm OK with spending it on a premium component.
If you sell a part that is 400-500% more than standard, get it right the first time, and if you don't, lead with "let us fix that", not "three paragraphs of fluff".
I once thought I had an issue with a Burris scope. Turned out, it was fine, but 1) They answered the phone and 2) the first thing dude said was, if there is a problem, send it back and we'll fix it - but let me see if we can trouble shoot it before we do that...
... and they aren't what I'd call 400-500% over the typical market scope.
Hopefully, they follow up. I've asked that they provide support to refinish or "help with touch up".
