My 3 port won’t be discontinued. The comp brake is a whole separate product. Is the Gen 1 being totally discontinued?
It’s made of aluminum by design. SS is too heavy and retains heat. Can’t wrap the brake. Ti is lighter than SS. It’s also 30%-40% heavier than aluminum. The added strength of Ti isn’t necessary. This isn’t structural and the can takes the beating. The Scythe end cap is made out of anodized AL, words from SiCo, and doesn’t have issues with erosion. Its AL. I could understand if it was made of TI or even 416.
With prices like that people are just going to rip off the design like they already do with brakes and come out with cheaper versions. Hard to patent a brake. And unless you have deep pockets almost impossible to enforce it.
I have shot 3 different rifles/examples of the prototype all in different calibers. Its a great addition to any can. I do think its probably the most effective I've shot to date, but its not dramatically better than the topshot or 419 mav. Ill still buy one but would rather it was made of a more durable material. AL is going to get eroded with heavy firing schedule, especially with people running it on short barrels with unburnt powder.
you could always just make a version with a thin steel liner inserted into the bore area and mechanically captured at the ends to handle the dissimilar expansion properties. while I dont expect it'll matter for PRS guns, it might have value for using the recoilX on SBRs and other hard use firearms. I can attest first hand that even the gen1 on a sandman does a bunch to control high-cyclic SBRsIt’s made of aluminum by design. SS is too heavy and retains heat. Can’t wrap the brake. Don’t be inserting facts into a good SnipersHide product gripe. The Scythe end cap is made out of anodized AL, words from SiCo, and doesn’t have issues with erosion.
Same, any estimated time frame for the Dilligent cans?@RecoilXBrakes - When will these Gen2's be available for Diligent/Dead air??
Just paid the stamp on a Enticer S ti & I think this would be pretty effective on the S can.
Thanks

DA/DDC support is coming ASAP. Heard folks loud and clear on here and Instagram, and I am super grateful for your interest. Working on prototypes now and shortly heading to testing.@RecoilXBrakes - When will these Gen2's be available for Diligent/Dead air??

They have a SS jam nut that uses the spanner that SiCo ships with. Times the same way as the 3 port.Sweet. Also my Gen 2 is on the way, how does it time? Also any update on new lock nuts for the Gen 1’s?
Not sure about that. For now, the 3 port will have the majority of support. Is there going to be a Banish 30 option for the gen2?
Will the Gen2 work on a Rugged 360?Not sure about that. For now, the 3 port will have the majority of support.
I’m curious to see how you like the Clovis compared to the scythe with the recoil x.View attachment 8746186
Top to bottom: 10.9 oz, 11.8 oz, 15.0 oz per my scale
That’s not a Clovis. It’s an Abel Theorem-S.I’m curious to see how you like the Clovis compared to the scythe with the recoil x.
Ahhh, was looking on my phone. Would like your thoughts on that one too! The Theorum-s and the Clovis are on my list. I just received the gen 2 brake today, my scythe will be here tomorrow. Didn't like the Magnus-k so I sold it.That’s not a Clovis. It’s an Abel Theorem-S.
Hopefully I get to shoot the Comp brake this weekend. I’ll shoot it back to back with the Theorem which has a sharper jab to the shoulder. It’s stays pretty flat.Ahhh, was looking on my phone. Would you say the omega300 with the gen 1 recoil x have a longer softer recoil impulse than the theorum?Hopefully I get to shoot the Comp brake this weekend. I’ll shoot it back to back with the Theorem which has a sharper jab to the shoulder. It’s stays pretty flat.
Will most likely offer the 3 port brake for it in the future. Will the Gen2 work on a Rugged 360?
That can is already load as shit so it'd be nice to get some recoil reduction out of it
Yeah the Omega and 3 port is much softer. I had another shooter shoot both back to back and he also agreed.Would you say the omega300 with the gen 1 recoil x have a longer softer recoil impulse than the theorum?
The Clovis models are really heavy. But … titanium is coming soon.Ahhh, was looking on my phone. Would like your thoughts on that one too! The Theorum-s and the Clovis are on my list. I just received the gen 2 brake today, my scythe will be here tomorrow. Didn't like the Magnus-k so I sold it.
I need to kinda back up on this. The 5” Clovis with muzzle brake weighs roughly the same as the SilencerCo Scythe STM in short configuration with Recoil X comp brake. And the weight is definitely not in the comp brake. The Clovis models are really heavy. But … titanium is coming soon.
What I’m waiting for someone to do. I’ve always wanted a Maverick but if the comp brake and Scythe are very similar I’ll be ok without getting one.Hopefully going to get out and get a comparison this weekend!
That is what I am chasing. I had a TBAC Magnus k-rr and wasn't happy with its muzzle control performance so I sold it. lolWhat I’m waiting for someone to do. I’ve always wanted a Maverick but if the comp brake and Scythe are very similar I’ll be ok without getting one.
