    Good morning, I'm a new guy and having difficulty with how to send and receive private messages..another member has an item I wish to purchase.. He stated he sent me a private message but I haven't a clue where to go to respond to it? I googled it and the info was circa 2013 and obviously outdated...I'm really getting frustrated and feeling inept here..what is the procedure, icons, etc I thank you in advance for the favor of a reply..Larry

    Hey there! If you go here you'll see private messages and if you click on the username of the user you'd like to purchase from you'll enter the private message area where you can talk 1 on 1. Hope that helps!

    @alexj-12 I've used forums for years and this one is giving me a lot of challenges. I cant change the strange user name it auto generated for me. It gives me a date when I will be able to change it. Had PM ability now its gone. Can't leave feedback. If you can provide any help that would be greatly appreciated.
     
    Same problem here. Been going nuts trying to figure it out. Tried on every device I could get my hands on to no avail. Was able to before but not anymore. Glad to see I'm not the only one losing their mind. Is there a fix?
     
    Unable to PM you but it appears that my account is still inactive since I revalidated a couple of days ago. I'm a previous member but inactive since 2023. I'm attempting to purchase an item in the PX, but the post is awaiting mod approval. It's been a couple days now. Not sure if further action is required on my end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
     
    did any of you guys get resolved? what are the steps to unlocking private messages? is it some # of posts? I understand with the scammers and all they have to moderate. however I'm not here to scam anyone and I'm not much to spam forums to get my post count up. Just wanting to send private message in trade forums.
     
    I'll add my name to the list. Can't start a pm conversation with anyone but I did have a user successfully start one with me.

    If there's some kind of minimum level of activity required to use personal messaging I haven't seen it documented anywhere.

    Hey, I can definitely help with this! I took a look at your account and you have 3 posts so you should have free range to send PMs on the site now. In order to do that you need to click on or hover over another member's username and then click to button to "Start Conversation"

    Let me know if you're still having trouble!
     
    Are three posts all that is required?

    Seems simple enough. If you could add that to the forum rules document there would probably be less confusion from us newbies.

    Can you help me with sending PM's?

    I have had an account almost a year now. I have been able to send PM's in the past and it seems like every three months or so I lose the ability to do so. I have emailed the support link multiple times with no response. I cannot even access the PM link you included in the original post to this thread.
