Silencer decision: Enticer STi or Nomad Ti XC

About to pull the trigger on my first can. It will live on a 22” 7 PRC. I’ve shot it with a friend’s Nomad Ti (old version) and it was amazing. I loved it. That said, I do like the idea of saving some cash by going with an enticer, assuming they perform similarly.

Does anyone have a direct comparison of the two?

No time on the Nomad Ti, but the Enticer S TI is awesome. Based on the data from Silencer Summit (I think both cans were there), I don’t think there would be a noticeable difference, much less worth a few hundred bucks.

Pew science is your friend. I have the Enticer S that I shoot everything 30 cal and down thru. Awesome can. I don't see the Nomad on this list, but I'm pretty sure he has tested it.

Yeah it seems like they both perform similarly from different data sources. The Enticer LTi seems like an awesome choice too but I’m not sure I want an 8” can for long days in elk country

I’ve seen enough negative reports on enticers impacting accuracy and having issues that I wouldn’t go that route. Prior KGM manufactured nomads seemed to have a lot of failures but I haven’t heard the same with the printed XC versions.

Pulling 2024 tbac summit data from shooters ear dba:
Nomad XC: 126.71
Enticer Lti: 129.59
Enticer sti: 131.17

That’s just one data point but damn if it doesn’t make the XC seem to be the obvious choice.

Where did you hear that about the Enticers? That's interesting.

I think @Supersubes is a dealer for them, I'll tag him in to see if he's seeing those issues. He has a good write up on here on these suppressors.

I’ve sold a quite a few Lti’s now. Not a single issue. My personal DD cans shoot very straight. They actually have a symmetrical blast and front baffle, like the tbacs.

They were near impossible to get beginning last summer until a month or so ago. I think I waited 22 weeks for my last order. Now they’re just in stock at my go-to distributor. I think thats because the buying stopped in preparation for the no tax come next year. During that time I couldnt get the DD’s, I sold a stack of ti/lti XC’s. I like them a lot too. Very neat can, cant go wrong there. Zero customer gripes from those, and no QC issues.

I haven't seen any of the new silencer summit data yet. Surprised the S and L are that close, they dont sound that way to me.

I sell to mostly hunters and many of them are first time suppressor buyers. Ive yet to have a single customer pick the Sti over a Lti when they got to hear them side by side. The lti is so much quieter, and that comes with a very small weight penalty. Your point is valid though. I hunt with a pair of Ultra 5’s on rifles with short to medium barrels.

Some that I recall linked below. Seen others, mostly on the same forum. Lots of people without issue as well.

Thanks for sharing.

I don't really see anything in there that suggests systemic issues, but not surprised to read some isolated reports of issues. Sounds like DD was on top of their CS in every case, which is always comforting.

More from same forum:

Guy had DD "Straighten up" his can after it was having cold bore issues.

This is an interesting thread - not exactly confidence inspiring.

After spending some time reading posts on that forum, I get the sense that the general tone of the place is "we don't know much, but we do know how to complain." This doesn't mean the posters are wrong always, it just means they are typical 2025 internet people, "instant expertise" commenters who talk the talk but stumble in the walk.

They are not shooters like we are here at SH. Their primary focus is hunting.

Not for nothing but I went to thread my STI onto a new barrel and the titanium direct thread that came with the suppressor would not seat further down than halfway down the threads. My TBAC Gen II brake screwed all the way down the threads flush. Have ordered a replacement direct thread from DD to try as well as Area 419 mounts

Figured I'd should chime in with my experience. I did buy the Nomad Ti XC direct thread and couldn't be happier. I'm not recoil-shy per se but I also don't love magnum rifles (why I chose a 7 PRC is beyond me so if you know someone that would trade for their 6.5 PRC, let me know 😁).

That said, the Nomad tamed the recoil a bunch. Much more of a push than jolt like a brake. It's a joy to shoot and sounds great. POI shift was very minimal and no issues with accuracy.
