Questions on POF P-416

I always thought the 416 was full auto, hence the three position safety. Current P-415's look a bit different, different hand guard, barrel, etc...what year is that? Looks interesting.

Not sure on the year I’ve tried to get ahold of POF and see if they had any information on it but haven’t gotten a response. Can’t find anything on the internet about it except one review where the reviewer was sent the exact same p-416 semi auto. Never seen one sell anywhere online.
It isn't the rifle, it's all the damn accessories. With that said, my Revolution DI in 308 is actually lighter than the P415. But the P415 is piston and built like a tank and comes in ever so slightly under the HK416 in the same barrel length.
Sierra 5. Don't get me started on it. Likely going to switch out to something lighter with a far lighter muzzle/mount system as well. I weighed everything I pulled off yesterday. Here's the short list.
Sierra 5 w/QD mount and wrap, 1.17lbs
PA PLxC 1-8 shorty with PLX mount 1.48 pounds
Cloud Defensive Rein w/tape switch .53lbs
Hux muzzle device 3.6oz
Cloud Defensive extended mount w/bolts 1.1 oz
LaRue RISR .25 pounds
I thought about changing the barrel nut and hand guard but the hand guard only came out to 14oz. Now if someone can just make me a piston housing in titanium, I'd be set.
Likely going with the B&T XH 556 SC hybrid suppressor with the DD hub mount and a titanium taper lock muzzle device. That'll more than cut the suppressor weight in half where it's most critical, out front. Will switch to an RDO with a lightweight mount like Scalarworks, Rein Micro for a light, and a few other changes. But this should be in another thread. Apologize for the hijack.

Damn I haven't looked at POF stuff for a long time. You guys posting these makes me want one again. Was considering building a short 416 clone but now I want to do a short POF 
They do make an off the shelf 10.5"model. My 12.5" was a special run of uppers and they put out others on occasion that aren't listed on their main site in addition to some special color runs as well (like ODG). You can find a bunch of different uppers for 5.56 and other calibers listed here. I have a FA carrier coming this week so I can take advantage of a 3-position FRT as they ship with semi-auto carriers. Here's the FA carrier for the P415 in 5.56. Just be sure to choose the right length in the drop down menu.
