Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

I think he is right. Guys that do a lot of practical shooting are able to let the shooting part of the equation “run in the background”. I have never been in a dynamic shoothouse and definitely haven’t been in a 2 way real fight but if your lizard brain can run the gun handling program leaving your thinking brain to work the problem I see that as the way.

My paternal grandmother could take nothing and make a fantastic meal, in minutes and on demand. She carried a H&R .38spl revolver and would use it. She kept her house immaculate and her car too. She could build a birdhouse or repair a table (I have her Skilsaw and many hand tools). She loved frogs. She hated snakes. She ALWAYS knew the right thing to do and say. Born in 1918 and saw some #$&@.

I miss you Nanny.

Replace and grease the pilot bearing.

Change the rear main seal.
Yeah, even though it's only got 50k on it, it's still 25 years old. Pilot bearings on these trucks are prone to issues already. The bearing on the input shaft is small in the 99-03. 03½-10 in the zf6, they went to a sealed ball bearing and a bigger bearing surface on the pilot shaft.

There was or is a place called Rare Parts out of Stockton Ca that would buy all dead stock / discontinued items from the major manufacturers.

Around 1987 (way before the internet helped you find stuff) I needed an idler arm for a 64 galaxy 500.

They had one and as always, the price was 3x the price of the original manufacturer. It if you needed a part, they were a great place.
