The dude arrested in the video is most likely not the shooter. You do not get a supersonic crack and the evident terminal effect form a springer air rifle.

Position of the camera and I assume the mic is in between the shooter and Kirk. At the range the mic is from the shooter, 100 yards or so you aren't hearing the sonic crack over the rifle being fired. Not enough separation in the two distinct sounds
I am listening over studio monitors.
And most mic processeors have compression and limiting to balance out the input, so a very loud noise might not come through as loud as the crack in person.
