@Markbsae Has never bought a gun "For Her".
Married guys do this to get it by the ol'Lady.
It's best to get possession of these before the divorce.

I have the voice of experience on this subject.
Albeit not guns quite as expensive as the Barrett and SBR.
I just had my 30yr anniversary yesterday. The wife certainly has plenty of guns I enjoy but they're genuinely hers and she knows what do do with them. Tuesday she was hitting 750 yards with her R700 in 22-250. She does like 1911's but I overlook that! She's been wanting a PS90 but the rule is she can't have anything cooler than I do!

Uh, what? You get mama what she wants and then you get whatever you think is cooler than that. My kids can figure that out…

She is more into cars. That's why she has a Shelby GT350. She's happy. I definitely got that for "her")
If she has 1911s, that ship has sailed.
They were certainly an excellent design for their time but I personally have no interest in owning a heavy, not easily concealed single action pistol that holds 7+1. They have the best break on any trigger at the range but I'd never carry one. I'm far more into modern pistols.

In my defense, I started with 1911s before the internet. No one told us they were too heavy or big to carry concealed so here I am 50 years later.

Over the past several years I competed with a Sig for the capacity. Shot just enough to maintain proficiency with 1911s. Just for grins last week I set up a mini stage (12 rounds) and ran it five times each with a Sig and my carry 1911. Almost 0.5 second faster average with the archaic overweight fudd gun.

They’re great at the range. I’m 5’6” and carrying one would be miserable for me. It would do me no good if I didn’t bring it with me. If something bad goes down I want to start off with 10 or 16, not 8.

If that’s what you shoot best. That's my mindset.
Same. The gun I can ahoot the best in any situation is a P2000sk. Ive taken classes with it and competed with it. Its sized to carry comfortably and in over 8000 rounds has never once had a malfunction or jam. When I shoot bug matches I usually get 2 or three stages in before someone says “is that a 40? It is and I shoot it better than my G19 with a red dot.
Build her an old f100 hot rod then buy yourself a kitted out AI or Cadex
Im working on a 1966 short bed Chevy C10. Its got front and rear suspension from a 1996 Grand Sport Corvette and a 2006 LS2/T56. That should suit her. AI is way out of my budget. I’m shooting with Vipers and wanting a Razor. 🤣

Love this photo. Got me some sweet taters from the garden. Wife says she's not even going to try.

Try what? To cook those yummy sweet taters?

Just scrub them up, cut off the tips and make 1” chucks out of them. Throw some salt, pepper, etc on them in a cookie sheet and roast them that way. Very tasty and good for you too.

Mrs. Lash has spoken! 😄😄😄
