I think its time for a recall vote. Recall Trump, and both houses of Congress. If these morons cant learn to work together and not shut the government down, they dont deserve to be in their position. They dont give a rat's ass about us, they get good pay, insurance, expenses, and a salary for life.

To paraphrase Tiny Tim, "Fuck these morons, every one.

Well, when America is divided, pretty much 50/50, it's hard to believe you'd get anything besides a deadlock. I'm disappointed enough in the "compromises" that have already been made. Not really into anymore.

And in all fairness, I don’t really blame Democrats for not compromising what they believe in either.

Compromise with the Left is how our Republic has gotten so fucked up, moved so far Left.

Compromising with mentally ill people is the epitome of going full retard; it has never and will never get you where you want to go.

The only way it’s directly affecting me is the ATC controllers are considered essential, but they are not getting paid, so they may or may not be instigated slow downs. I think essential employees like them should be getting paid. I think all of congress should not only not get paid, they should not get back pay, and they should actually have to pay a daily fine for their failure, taken out of their future pay. There should be a law that if a shutdown lasts more than two weeks, everyone automatically looses their seat in congress and a special election is held to vote new people in; also, if you have already served two terms, you can no longer run in a special election.

Yeah, none of that is ever going to happen….

This brings up an interesting question. Why are air traffic controllers federal employees? Perhaps airports should just hire controllers, like most private businesses hire employees.

How is the shutdown impacting you?

My youngest son sold calves today

He has a $44,000 check in hand

He also has a beginning farmer/rancher loan from FSA

(It is common for young people here to get started this way)

They have to sign off on the check so he can cash it to pay expenses and debt

The shutdown is affecting local businesses

Time for a new Constitutional convention…

    How about no more Gerrymandering?

How about ID to vote. Period.

How about electoral colleges for states… so cities can’t control huge swaths of the country.

How about preventing fed govt from bribing us with our own money.

How about preventing judges from legislating by writ

How about no more stock trading by elected officials. Blind trust for financial assets.

How about no foreign-born allowed to run for office. At all. Not even dog catcher.

How about a ban on Sharia or other shadow legal systems on our soil.

How about English as our one and only official national language. Learn it or GTFO.

How about no UN business to occur on American soil. Let them do their shit in Lesotho or some craphole. In fact, dissolve it and stop paying dues.

How about enforcing laws against communists in government (they are in the books) or immigrating to USA (also on the books).

How about we act like the Republic we are, not a Jacksonian rabble shouting “our democracy” which we know is bullshit and means “voting ourselves your money and property and labor.”

    Well, I can dream…

When you come to the realization that government fucking hates us things become very clear. They impose laws on us that fuck us in so many ways ie ACA that drove up the cost of health insurance while exempting themselves from the negative effects. Pay into SS your whole life only to get taxed again on it if you continue to keep working once you reach retirement age. Take away all the perks for being in congress and apply the same laws on them that they impose on us. No government lifetime pension or healthcare for starters.

Believe? They don’t believe 90 percent of the shit rolling out of their mouths. They’re like a 16-year-old boy with a hardon. They will say anything to ge5 laid.

I’ll bet you think Meatloaf was being honest when he said, "That I would love you to the end of time

Well we're into the 10th day of gov shutdown. I have yet to see/feel any impact on my life, everything running just like it always does. People get up, go to work, come home and watch fake news.

Other than maintain a military, what does the federal government do that has an actual meaningful impact on your life?

Funny, though. I see all kinds of ads online for expensive shit with "I need to sell now due to government shutdown."

Watches, knives, guns, motorcycles, campers, you name it. All those big paychecks and not able to last 2 paychecks without the McMansion and the Porsche SUV getting repo'd. More like the spendy loft and the Rivian. But you know what I mean.

Suck to be half the IRS, though. 48,000 of them were just furloughed permanently. You're Fired! Awesome!

Well, they are "voting", falsifying ballots and ballot harvesting, rioting, burning down cities, killing conservatives, buying votes, blockading ICE facilities, funding bail for their operatives, "electing" progressive politicians and DAs, importing third worlders to dilute American culture/votes/jobs, and stealing American tax dollars to fund their socialist/prog agenda.

In that way, shutting down the .gov over "healthcare funding" seems like a pretty small move. They've demonstrated a higher commitment to their ideals than the right has to their own.

OK, this is a true story of how f'd up the federal government is.

Last week I decided to go camping in the Chiricahua mountains in southern AZ at a place called Rustlers Park. It's a beautiful improved camp ground at 8000 feet overlooking Paradise and Portal. It is in the middle of nowhere. Tuesday afternoon a helicopter flew over. In the 35 years I've been going here, this is the first time a helicopter flew over. My thought was it was a recon to determine if there were any campers out there and at other camps in the area.

Sure enough, two park rangers show up the next day at lunch time. They were very apologetic, but said I had to be out of the park by noon on Thursday because they would be back to lock the gate on the road leading in. Those park rangers came out of Douglas AZ and had to drive for over an hour to get to me (the only camper). The park has no water, electricity, and the toilets are outhouses. The campsite has a concrete table and benches, a fire ring and grill, and my site had a ramada over the table.

HOW MUCH MONEY did they spend to put up an air asset and send in two park rangers (twice)?

I love the current administration, warts and all, but damn they have some stupid people in charge who have their minions doing some stupid things.
